So funnily enough Vermintide 2 i installed and that Games doesnt run aswell…

Im not even Joking. When i press Play on Steam it turns from green to blue. 5secs later it stops running. Also Verified the Game after DL…

I ran SPace Marine 2 and no Problems.

Looks like only Fatshark Games are not working on my PC. I also restarted the PC and everything. Im not Trolling im serious!

Sry if some are double, but the Upload still is super janky as ever. Sometimes it just dont work!

UNFORTUNATELY the GPU Crashdumps are empty on my PC, which seems weird, since it said its GPU related

EDIT:

i forgot to mention that the Crashes happen when getting Invited, going out of Shop(ESC), starting Missions, getting Mission Invite

Thanks for all the logs! This is a GPU-related crash as you’ve already identified, but it seems to be a nondescript timeout with no real clues as to why.

With this in mind, I’d recommend running through the solutions linked below. Sometimes a clean driver re-install is all that’s needed:

Well thats not helping me.

I ALWAYS DO :

*Clean install for GPU Driver

*Verify my Games after Update

*Dont OC my GPU

So i deleted the AppData/ Roaming/ Darktide. it was made new after Verifying. I hopped into a Game. Its an inprovement. Cant say how long it will last as of yet. Will check this Week, maybe tonight

HOWEVER

Vermintide 2 is not fixed yet. I deleted that Folder aswell. i Verified, no new Folder was made. I DL the Game anew, i verified. No new Folder was made. The Game wont start at all!

What are we gonna do Julia?!

i dont wanna miss out on the “Wolf Father”. Possible you Guys give this to me retroactively if i cant make the Game work?

it did run last Week .Mission loaded, inside Mission. I quit the Game… felt it could work, was not in the mood to play

First of all my friend send me a Topic about one Guy having the same Crash (GPU hang) when using alt+TAB. No problems with that at all, so i didnt try his Workaround you sent him

TODAY

*Activated Mods again, crash right away when using “ESC”

*Crashes when exiting settings using “ESC”, same can happen in Shops

*deleted the Folder again (roaming/DT)

*Verified the Game

*NO MODS USED FROM HERE ON OUT

*NO extra Power to GPU, i dont use real OC anyway, since the famous Melting of 4090 when it came out

First Pic is the Standard setting, second is the one i use for practically all Games like DT. Just wanted to post it, maybe it helps, im not an Engineseer! (Used this since i built the PC for DT just right when it came out)

*Changed to DLSS setting inside Game, since it was set to Vanilla settings(performance or so) after Verifiying (You cant set it from the Loader. There is only VAnilla options when the Game came out. Crashed. crashed once after “ESC”

*I set Character Frame rendering to off

*I set “newest DLSS used for application inside NVidia APP” to Application chooses setting back

*tried joining Games and not use any “ESC” at all :rofl: sry but this thing made me paranoid

*I set “Selective startup_No startup items” off. I applied it. Rebooted. However, after rebooting it was not left applied. I reapplied it. AND no restart (Was able to play, but after the LIst here ends)

Steam suddenly asked me to “OPEN STEAM” which was already open of course, then the above message is shown.

*This happend after verifying and crashes etc and still Pops up

(i played one round while writing this) after crash again

**Most crashed happend when Loading into the Missions, as soon as you would be able to Move the Character, but also, Loading Screen itself(Mission Load) and just Loading into the Morningstar

Tried literally everyting now. The List should be 90% Chronological,(yeah sry, lots of work inbetween writing, booting the Game Crashing, writing my Buddy etc)

Thanks for the update Roibr. All of these crashes appear to be the same GPU-related error (WAIT_TIMEOUT).

I understand you had some success after deleting your AppData previously, so I wonder if Steam Cloud Saving is restoring a previous version of the AppData perhaps.

Could you try disabling Steam Cloud Saving, then deleting your AppData as normal?

  1. Navigate to your Steam library
  2. Right-click Darktide
  3. Select ‘Properties’
  4. On the ‘General’ tab, scroll down to ‘Steam Cloud’
  5. Disable ‘Keep game saves in the Steam Cloud for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide’

Success, well not really. I forced myself into my Buddies Mission after Hours of tweaking etc, into a half cleared Mission only once. SO not really success, after that i crashed constantly again. SO what exactly is the Problem with the Game? cant be me, everything else runs fine!

Hi Julia, so i updated all my Drivers and Bios. Finally got time or lets say Motivation aswell. I listed as i did it

  1. First i disabled Steam Cloud

  2. i deleted Appdata (DT & Vermintide since i still cant run it aswell)

  3. I Verified Darktide

  4. I restarted Steam

  5. The Game had a Hanger, so i only got Black Screen when Booting

  6. I rebooted he Game and got the Crash you see now

  7. Checked GPU Driver(Installed new one), rebooted PC

  8. rebooted the Game got into Video settings and changed them back to max settings with Raytracing set the Game to DLSS_Super Reslotion to DLAA not Quality as usual

  21. Noticed that my Loadouts are all gone… I reckon due to Steamcloud disabled or was it Appdata?!

  22. Was able to exit the Game normally, ran good, no problems using ESC.

  29. So it looks like NVIdia Overlay makes some problems in this Game. Again, if you know how to use Filters without Overlay, i would be glad, so i can disabled Overay for the time being and still use my Filter in DT. I booted again and checked to be sure. If Overlay is activated it crashes.

  30. Double checked if its not Steam Overlay. Well, i let NVidia enabled and it looked like Steam. But it crashed in the end again… So i deactivated NVidia and Steam Overlay both to be sure, AGAIN.

  31. Disabled Portrait Rendering and all the “Other” Options!

  32. Could use, ESC and ALT+TAB no problems so far.

  33. Activated Steam Overlay for FPS Counter (NO issues so far)

  34. Enabled Steam Cloud in hope of my Loadouts (happily got them again)

  35. So Tripled checked Nvidia Overlay due to disabling the Prtrait rendering, which can produce problems from what i know. Its definetly Nvidia Overlay that causes Problems! So one more Crash and disabled it

This was and Odyssey for Sure!!! One Game down, now trying to make Vermintide Run “normally again”

PS: Havent played a Game though, just HUB and fixing

I had this problem recently. Turning off hardware acceleration for Discord seems to have solved it. Try turning off hardware acceleration for other programs that are open. Or you can troubleshoot to see if this happens when any one particular program is open.

i didnt use Discord when playing DT. But i disabled it anyways now. How can i troubleshoot and see and troubleshoot other programms when open?!
