I only go up in difficulty when I can consistently get people up, clutch and generally be a boon with my build.
I think many people do the opposite.

The controller set ups are terrible and iirc you cannot make a custom setup because please understand. Itâs basically impossible to have a setup that has fast execution for ult/blitz/weapon swap/held item/stim that also have slide on easy access. Without having your hand look like this at the end of a play session.
The end result is you see many console players NOT sliding like they have ass mites and they die to the most common skill check enemies in the game. Let alone the specialists.
Thatâs just a skill issue on their part, there is nothing hard at all about pressing A/Cross and then B/Circle to dodge-slide.
I play exclusively controller and the default scheme is about as useful as an Auric Storm Survivor penance title.
The only way to go imo is âAlternative Oneâ which puts jump and dodge on separate inputs. The only downside is that tagging is on the d-pad up which is not ideal, Id prefer to have it doubled up on another input.
Otherwise, everything else is absolutely fine. If you arent used to playing on controller its going to feel horrible no matter what controller type or scheme you use. Much the same with people who have never used a m+kb and are used to consoles exclusively.
Basically, git gud pc scrub ![]()
I use the controller scheme that puts blitz on right bumper so that I can throw knives with zealot.
Having dodge and jump on the same button ![]()
With the upmost respect, please burn your controller ![]()
Itâs the only one that allows for effective throwing knife use
Yeah I get it and it kinda sucks that we cant have both natively. If FS would allow proper controller customization this would be less of a problem.
The only solution for me is to use steams controller support though annoyingly Iv found the sticks never quite feel right compared to native (in-game) settings, but you can do some crazy stuff with it like having sub-menus on one button or different actions on long press or double tap etc.
I used to have a Path of Exile setup where moving the left stick constantly triggered my molten shell. Console players really get left in the dust when it comes to customization and modding.
I might try again soon and see if I can fine tune it to feel 1:1 with the native sensitivity.
ButâŚbut Fatshark game designers love âmysteryâ mechanicsâŚ
Hopefully one day this will happen
Iâm PC players, and I donât use slides too, except cases when I need to avoid being hit with range attacks. I.e. I donât abuse the skill to save stamina and other those bs reasons which make people mimic my dog after he poops and needs to wipe his ass on the grass. That looks ridiculous, is unnecessary daunting and never should have been allowed to become a âmetaâ mechanic. I hope one day FS will just rewamp it finally, making you spend stamina when sliding or something, so that people would stop abusing it.
This would just straight up ruin quickplay queues, and Iâve seen people be very competent at the game with a controller, and pc players who are level 400 and do a quarter of the damage of everyone else in an auric game. This is kind of just judgemental nonsense.
Console slaves are not the only one who use curious on classes that donât need them.
Just because youâve seen bad on both sides doesnât negate that one side is clearly more handicapped than the other. This isnât a matter of anecdote, itâs the general player base. Those on consoles have a much more difficult experience than those on PC. Itâs a stereotype for a reason, the skill gap for the average player is very different between the two platforms.
Consoles have the option to opt-out, so should PC players. Itâs only fair.
âNo my sweeping judgement is correct because my opinion is factâ
Alright.
I wonder how disabling crossplay would affect pc players on the microsoft store version? Xbox platform but still pc players
