It does limit ranged options if you can’t fall back on power sword. Catachan Mk VII is a decent balance of offense and defense, more so if you get cleave blessings on it. Doesn’t have decent AP though, so you’re going to need to take a Bolter, Plasma Gun or hope your teammates can handle AP. A high end shovel is alright at horde control, but not horde clearing.
ooo is this why nurgle has been sending packs of mimes after me?
This is sad to read (at least if I get this right), especially:
- just 24 hours? So if we come not online EVERY DAY we do not know when it is gone?
- “likely reappear”, so they can also be gone as easy?
So FS still uses the timer as a deceiving design pattern. It puts pressure on the customers and they do not get to see the whole shop.
This is not permitted for example as of the General Data Protection Regulation, which is in effect for the European Union.
I would welcome it, if we could get info about this topic why FS ignores laws in the EU (and as far as I know similar laws of other countries)?
It is prohibited as in:
Dark patterns are interfaces and user experiences that cause users to make unintended, unwilling and potentially harmful decisions regarding the processing of their personal data. This influences users’ behaviour and ability to effectively protect their personal data.
Especially because the community also wants such timers gone.
(Additionally they are not needed! Real money prices, sales and e.g. feature pages would have the same effect without circumventing the law.)
I mean… it is. If People log in 3 times daily, check the shop, compare, MAYBE find something an craft it up just to be disappointed and repeat this for 2-4 chars, then you might have invested something like 20-30min without actually playing.
However with this you have pushed playernumbers AND can say that “according to average time spent” or something like that, people come back to play a match or two! “Play time” would check out after all.
Wow a lot of highly requested weapon buffs this looks great!
Is it two or three? Guessing thats a typo in the first quote
Nah if youve played a game which has like 10 pages of premium costumes this is the better option
Yeah it was. Hi-Intensity was listed as the third but was in-game since release
THIS
Also it is prohibited in some countries (such design patterns, like in the EU).
(This is referenced at the “Commodore’s Vestures” and its timer/ the “unlikely removal” of skins)
I play gachas.
I prefer 10 pages of premium cosmetics over timers and refreshes.
I did not speak of any rng in my post though?
A attachment system could mean choice of attachments
What made you feel that?
This is a good change!
This is a bad change. Seems like you took the “Power” out of the “Powersword”?
This is a good Change. But it would be far better if we could customize the scopes as you planned a year or two ago.
Hey im from egypt plz tell me is this proplem will be fixed i cant join the game i got evrey tim i join code 4008
Are you serious lol
Why are you stressing about paid cosmetics
The entire Commodore’s Vestures section is complete BS. The idea of rotation stuff out at all because “it’s too confusing and not good for players” is garbage and a bold-faced lie. Compare it to dozens of other RPGs, both single-player and multiplayer, with cosmetic premium shops and you’ll see just how user-friendly and easy-to-navigate they are while also having unlimited store pages. Change the whole damn thing from the ground-up if you need to, but cut the crap and abort this terrible plan for the shop.
I have no qualms with this update, in fact I think it’s mostly pretty good. There’s just one problem I have, and that is Console. I believe all we’ve been told is that the console release would come shortly after the PC one for next gen Xbox consoles. I understand transitioning a game to an entirely different platform may take time, but I would at least like some kind of transparency when it comes to the process of bringing the game to Xbox. I’m good with waiting for a while for the game to come out on console, I guess just at least some kind of progress update would be nice. Otherwise, I have no problems and I’m hyped to be able to play the game.
To me the PowerSword sound balanced now. 10 enemy cleave is plenty enough. You still swing quick AF and you can still charge the weapon quick AF. You will still demolish hordes, just not in the auto-win mode as it were before, but who knows.
Will see more closely tomorrow.
This is >literally< a lie. The only reason to have a rotation is to inspire FOMO - fear of missing out - even if the cosmetics “are not gone forever and will likely reappear.” This system is the definition of a BAD USER EXPERIENCE. Your options are limited artificially and the rotating aspect means that you never know if you’ll be able to get the type of cosmetics you want.
Please don’t dress this up… you know exactly what you’re doing!
In Vermintide 2, where all cosmetics can be purchased whenever the player desires, with no timers, was this a “bad user experience?”
I just hate the idea that predatory practices will be justified with “we’re trying to avoid a bad user experience.” You are creating the bad user experience. You are not player-centric. You are anti-player and anti-consumer.
Happy to see a lot of the things in the notes! Look forward to getting this patch tomorrow.
Out of curiosity was there anything mentioning shared currency between characters or anything that I missed here? Or could we possibly get any further communication on anything that might happen in the future regarding it?
So, not a single word about rng maps and rng shop for ítems. Priority is stability but you try to fix real cash shop. W/e…. I trust you ofc…
You cant prioritize a cash shop 2 weeks after launch.
Where is all the people that were defending that 2 weeks before launch it was a beta and all would be fixed?
