you can craft real good weapons in few minutes. Fact is you only need to collect resources and ordos. If we would have more materials, possibility to salvage weapons, a way to obtain good grey weapon then the crafting would not be a problem.
Fact is I have spent too much time in this game. FS needs to take into consideration that crafting good weapon takes too much time for a normal player and way too much for a casual. They badly need to increase the player base, so they need to address the problem of the time needed to get something good.
If you could easily craft 10 weapons, there would be no problem at all⦠as you could repeat that until you get something you are pleased with.
But it would not address the problem of the guys that want absolutely a god weapon, even if it is totally useless and wonāt replace⦠skills. For these guys, there is no solution except removing crafting and put generic weapons (starship trooper system). It would be not lore accurate⦠but at least they would not bother with something that has no impact on their āperformanceā (I guess that they search for that). Seriously, a 360 weapon with blessings T3 is already enough at the current difficulty. Sure a power sword with PC T4 is OP, and I can understand that people can chase for such weapon⦠but there are few blessings T4 that are really a must have. And even, you can get it by Merkā shop.
When I see that people argue that the RNG forbids to get any good weapon⦠sure when I see what are the expectations of players⦠A 379 revolver with hand cannon t4 and crucian roulette T4 and 1 perk T4 and the other one T3 is considered bad⦠ok. What is good then? I suppose a 380 revolver with both T4 blessings and perks⦠This really shows how the player base (not all, off course) is considering the system. If they donāt get the perfect roll, it is a ābrickedā weapon. I am sorry, but this is totally wrong. Such weapon is not bricked. A curio that get a perk +x% exp and a +x% chances to get a curio is a curio brickedā¦
I really think that players gives too much attention to the locks⦠without even considering the real problem. Current crafting system is not good, I agree on this. However, this is far from the disaster that several here would want to describe.
Considering I have only shown a little part of my crafted weapons (not all of my zealot, and none of my 2 veterans and psyker and a few of my ogryn).
Considering what you wroteā¦
How many chances do you think I had to get all these weapons I have shown above?
TIP: I am not a FS employee and did not receive an infinite amount of plasteelā¦
From what I read, I could not get all these weapons⦠statistically impossible as you said
Itās needing to buy 5 billion tickets thatās the problem.
EDIT: Not engaging further. Quite literally not worth my time. Saying itās fine if they instead give you more coins to throw in the slot machine doesnāt fix the core issue of the heavy RNG.
winning the lottery 100 times is notā¦
stop with the myth of the lottery⦠or at least be honest. You donāt search a good weapon, you want the perfect roll.
The funny thing is: even if it was the first time weād have to have this discussion, it would already be stupid⦠the fact we are here for the⦠ah damnit I lost count; n-th time, makes this just so much dumber.
ATTENTION: We have reached āBeing legally required to wear a helmet while eating soupā - levels of stuipid!
AAAMEN, @Zoralink Iāve said the same exact line multiple times and he keeps insisting that āit is the solution / real problemā
At this point, do I still have to point out (again) which SINGULAR .json edit would achieve what you ask for here?
Oohhh there are like 12 good answers I can give here so let me seeā¦
Any amount between: āmore than 1ā and ātoo manyā
An amount of āat least 3ā
The problem is and was never a number but the word āchancesā
Over half the items you have shown I wouldnāt even look at if I was gifted them
Iād call maybe 3 of them actual god rollsā¦
This is some very weak showing for someone with 1.35K hours, even I have better items at 550h
Just because you were able to get what you wanted doesnāt mean that there is no underlaying issue FOR OTHERS
Just because you can be happy with mid (aka good enough) gear, doesnāt mean that everyone else has to as well.
You hopefully get the picture by now⦠(he said, ever the optimist)
now THAT is comedy right there folks! Youāre asking others to be honest while misrepresenting the facts so hard that you might as well be lying or an alternative that will get me banned if I actually typed it out hereā¦
Come on man, at least pretend like you donāt want to wear the ābozoā mask!
Seriously, I have to ask (even though I know that the answer I get will be just as bad) what about the current system in DT is not goddamn equivalent to a lottery? Which part precisely? What part about it is a MYTH?
And what exactly is the problem with wanting perfect gear? Who the hell decided that we shouldnāt / canāt want that?
Wait⦠I asked a variation of these questions before⦠almost as if there have been multiple threads of 10+ people telling you the same thing over and over AGAIN. -.-
And just to be crystal clear here: I donāt want any answers at this point anymore, we have been over this so many times and you will not convince anyone of your claims.
1300 + hours and I still donāt have 550 weapon⦠I have 1 (one) 549 rating Helbore Lasgun Mk. II with useless (for this build) 4th level blessing (Sustained Fire). Itās useless, because ammo stat barely above 60% and charge speed is close to 80.
I still use Bolter Iāve managed to buy back in January - 523 rating to be exact.
I have not rolled better curio than what I have in last 4 months.
I AM THE DEFINITION OF SOMEONE WHO SHOULDNāT BE GAMBLING.
Yet, here I am. Every day. Pulling that slot machine⦠[sob]
The fact you cannot get a good weapon with the current system. Something that is argued by several of you.
Fact is, you can. But it takes, at least thatās my opinion, too much time.
You can⦠and everybody wants.
However there is a difference between making the perfect gear the standard to achieve and wanting good weapons.
It seems several want the perfect weapon, not a good, not an excellent, just the perfect weapon.
So you want to describe a system where you never can get a good weapon, but in fact you aim at the perfect weapon.
Here how I did it.
First, you need to get a good weapon 375+. Grey or green are the best choices, but blue or purple can be considered cause they get a good odds to get a T4 blessing.
Why 375+? cause you have max odds to get a T4 perk and/or T4 blessing. By the way the odds to get a T4 blessing are increased when you consecrate to orange. However, you can get a T4 blessing when consecrating to blue.
Consecrate and see what you haveā¦
How to find a 375+ weapon?
Here it is the BIGGEST problem of DT.
1.) you cannot rely on Bruntās armoury. Forget it, you just waste money and will get few good weapons for a lot of money wasted.
2.) so what are the other options? normal weapon shop and Merkā shop.
It means that you should keep 3600 marks at any time to be able to buy a good weapon from Merkā shop.
Also, it means that this is time consuming as you have to watch the weapons sold every hours (when you play). I usually take everything I could look into in the future.
I usually craft not by the weapon I would want to chase but by what I have that could be a good opportunity.
Also, this is not cause you did not get the meta blessing you wanted that the weapon is bricked. I will take my example, I chased for a blessing combo on the shotgun. Got the opportunity to test something that is really effective. Since that, on my veteran I would not exchange my current shotgun to one with the combo no respite + full bore.
And as I said, problem is the time needed to get the weapons and resources you need. Even the simple reroll perks interface is a big failure⦠except if you use a mod. But thatās not normal to have to use a mod to be able to play the game. Thatās the main problem of the crafting system.
also, I would say that a 554 weapon could be not the dream weapon. My best weapon is a 510 shotgun. Not that I donāt have weapons with better rating, just cause this is the deadlier weapon I have crafted and that I continue to love to use.
How are you even defining āgodā weapons? And not all weapons are created equal. Force swords have much higher blessing pools and the worst weapon to get what you want.
not all people save up for years to buy a house, time needed based on difficulty is relative to the actual time spent upgrading a weapon to a āgod tierā weapon
the acquirement of resources or rolling weapons are not lottery
it literally only takes a little over 20-30 mins to roll a good weapon
not my fault you keep on burning up your plasteel and ordo so you arent able to mass roll 4-5 weapons in one sitting
imo its actually a little easy rolling 530-540 weapons with useful-good perks/blessing
wanna talk about a problem? Talk about curio crafting
Randomly saw this on Steam, trying not to get my hopes too high up⦠Maybe after a year theyāre going to fix what weāve been saying is broken since day one.
issues from day one have been mostly resolved, besides the server issue, theres jus a lot of entitled kids whos experiences and opinions really matter, like mine
And what happens when you get a āgoodā weapon? All your progress stagnates. You will never improve it. At best you will get lateral or side grades. If you REALLY want to test break points and specific blessing/perk combos at tier 4, youāre SOL pretty much all the time.
curios are a nightmare, i jus get lucky from melks and reroll one stat, tac seems to be working beautifully over recent
but imo god weapons are weapons u cant blame, where a loss only comes from team or lack of own skill
its diff for diff people, but there is a baseline, everyone seems to agree on what the average good enough weapon is so everyone should be able to determine what a god weapon is
lol when i get a good weapon, i play with it for a few hours, then i move on to making another type of god weapon
unlike other people, i actually like using a wide range of weapons and actually get a feel for them and the different playstyles, by the time i move on to the next weapon, ive accumulated enough resources to do multiple rolls again
never once have i an issue with getting good weapons/rolls
I think this is the difference of the debate. Itās not about āgood enoughā People want to somewhat meaningfully achieve PERFECT items as they are still possible to acquire through randomization just really rare.
If people want to try off-meta builds or experiment to keep the maps, gameplay, and classes fresh this is integral. As it stands this effectively neuters the experience as instead of me trying out different weapons I am throwing all my resources at trying to get the āperfectā iteration of my weapon that will never come.
true, people dont want good enough, but you have to get good enough to then appreciate god rolls.
For me personally i never move onto the next weapon without the god roll and it happens when i do the weapon switch as i make a decision right there and then on which weapon to next learn and roll
here lemme try to find all my finished weapons, theres a butt load but theyre there
edit and lol dont even get me started on the iterations of the same weapon, where the weapon is JUST about to be a god roll but this one pissant perk or blessing just ruins the whole thing
