I’d like to think that I’m still at the denial portion of the cycle. . .

You had me giggling just at the thought of it.

What would top it is of they actually removed the locks but managed to break the crafting (crash on Hadron interaction) and then failing to fix it for a few months. I mean, it’s definitely within the realm of possibilities :upside_down_face:

@FatsharkCatfish Since next patch is going to be about crafting again, could you please tell us if you will be considering breaking unwanted equipment for matts in the future or if this won’t ever happen? ty

Well to be honest, I don’t really care if they break the locks at this point. Already have all the builds I want/need, and mastered everything I wanted to in all classes. But I completely understand why ppl still call for it, and they are right in doing so.

That being said, what I really want and what would really bring a good amount of the player base back, and quite frankly, more important at this point, is the Mission Board rework. Not being able to play the maps you want with the modifiers you want killed the end-game for most people real quickly. Since the gameplay is what kept people playing, I would say it’s the most important aspect of the game, making the Mission Board a priority to be fixed. So, I really, really hope they will give us the freedom we want with Missions, or else, if they insist in keeping this crappy design by just adding “more time on maps” or “increase rotation” or any crap like that, man that would kill the game for me and any remaining hope, even if they do break the locks and fix the rest.

Anyway, that’s my 2 cents.

that’s a lovely ear tassel you have, it looks hand crafted :two_hearts:

And they’re still referring to us as ‘rejects’
People still being thankful with the mere mention of the things they’ve been asking for months, even though it being just a hold post, there’s no telling at all when anything will done. Imagine waiting a whole year just for them to finish the console port or to remove locks, like, what a sham.

Wear the name with pride. Our Space Marine chapter shall henceforth be named “Rejectus Locktus Imperious Maximus”

You’ve quite literally never been able to communicate much since your employment, whether by choice or not.

The corporate handling is too much at this point. Just do something. Add content. Literally fulfill any promise you’ve made. It’s pathetic at this point.

See, now you’ve done and got people’s hopes up. Please, please, please don’t be a monkey paw situation.

There’s no way it’s by choice

Fatshark seems to suffocate their CMs, always has – Aqshy was the best in terms of actually engaging with the community

lets be real, we got commlink about devpost next week, in devpost there will be info about patch that will come week after.

we all know how well patches work, so 3 weeks later after 3 hotfixes the game will be as described in blog post.

i am bad at math, but it sounds like September to me.

to make it worse many game studio nowadays promise nice things and they just turn everything into monetization scheme. I wonder when will that land in

Tbh I bet the reason this is taking so long, aside from the fact that they’re all working on the Xbox port (and STILL won’t admit it! Good lord, man) is that they clearly thought they’d be able to monetize all these awful systems they have in place and are only now coming around to the fact that these systems are actually driving away all the people they hoped to get more money out of.

They’ve had to fight about, argue over, redesign, test, implement, and bugfix a new way to monetize their game, which itself has also been subject to The Fatshark Process ™ with all of its marvelous inefficiencies and mismanagement.

But, but, but Mike shouldn’t fun game come first. If make good game then fans will naturally invest more money into product.

Oh but that’s the screwed up part, Asuka, they thought they did. They heard from us, over and over and over again, that the core combat is fantastic, because - generally speaking - it is. Sure, there’s foibles like space dogs and stutter, but their core model is legitimately incredible compared to any l4d styled competitors we’ve seen outside of VT2.

They thought they could get away with the game they had. Not entirely, they still had to trick us with a Halo Infinite “beta” launch to fool us onto giving them a bunch of cash up front so they could stay afloat and so we’d already be bought into whatever ecosystem they drum up later, but what you’re saying is exactly what management thought they had.

They probably still do. All these changes are coming begrudgingly. I’m not really hopeful for them, tbh. I’m still here only because I’d love to be wrong.

I would love to be wrong, but i have rly not been playing the game because of lack of respect to playerbase, there is tons of unresolved issues that just put me off. in last 3 months i have just played 20 games.

seriously i still hang around and sh@t post on this forum becsuse i deeply believe that its possible to turn around and focus on issues logged by playerbase.

this game is going nowhere and till FS fixes the engine bugs repeatedly reported since march, they not gonna get any positive response from me.

We all knew Fatshark would have their own plan, but the decreasing subscriber numbers from December to now proves that their plan is useless
So Fatshark, it’s time to listen to your players.
After all, the players who are still discussing with you on the forums are the ones who really love the game!

look from the other side, less playerbase means less server bill to pay. less work to do. less complaints to listen and support. its pure win.

@FatsharkCatfish

A couple suggestions regarding the upcoming dev diary.

#1) Beyond just saying “what” the changes are planned to be, it’s important to communicate “why” the specific change was decided upon. Giving the community a glimpse behind the curtain does a lot to build understanding and empathy.

Inevitably, some of the changes won’t have gone far enough or be to certain people’s liking. Providing an explanation for the dev’s thinking (this is a “diary” not a PR announcement) will at least calm people’s nerves. Whether it’s a technical limit, or there’s some specific design or metrics goal in mind, sharing that in the dev diary is important.

#2) If someone from the design team (ie whoever is behind the diary) would be willing to answer questions on the forums in response to the diary, that would be pretty incredible too.

Thanks!

Thinking about it. Will the Dev Blog reveal everything for the 12th patch ? Or could there be more stuff that will happen

Yes, there will be dozens of undocumented changes, version control issues will no doubt continue and some boiler plate hardware configuration will CTD on start up because its not part of the elite DT dev hardware specs. Buffs for something horrible and forgotten like old thunderhammer will be mentioned but not actually applied.
