Naw they need to be removed. Wether they will i acknowledge is anyones guess, but they do HAVE to go. Red weapons or not. I was incorrect tho. It hasnt been since launch but since crafting was implemented, but still the point remains.

I was under the impression that the perk refining was in the beta… maybe I was wrong, that’s ok.

Ok, see you in 6 months.
Really, I think that, if they wanted to remove them, they would have done it by now.
Also, as I said, this is the main feature of their crafting system. You hate it, however this is the system we have. I really think that the problem is the fact you cannot craft a lot of items, cause the rewards are low. I proposed something by the past.
Enough said on this… I won’t continue the discussion on this topic. You think they will remove them soon, I think you have a better chance to find irl an unicorn.

The hell dude? i dont know if theyll be removed just that they should be. And yeah this SHOULD be harped on because it needlessly punitive.

In the past month, a few friends and I have GRINDED DT. It’s been extremely fun. However, the game simply cannot last or bring in new players if the following are not addressed (likely things people have mentioned, but I am posting this here again for completeness, and in order of importance from our team’s feedback):

  1. New maps/difficulties/conditions/objections, or even increasing the # of maps available in the mission terminal, not just 1-3 of a particular difficulty.
To get existing players to stay, we should provide them with (somewhat) guaranteed options to play a particular game mode. Whether its HI, HI-ST, or any variation, being able to CHOOSE the game mode you play the moment you login is crucial to keeping existing players. New maps/mission objectives/layouts will also be HUGE because frankly we’ve been noticing that the same maps are being played over and over, to the point where we’re just standing in particular locations waiting for the system to let us press a button to proceed to the next section. It’s becoming stale very quick, and there’s something needed here to keep existing players. New players will of course love the game (if they choose to stay), but they will quickly realize this.

  2. Crafting system: new blessings/Ensure existing blessings are working/Provide a way to get your best blessing
We all know the RNG crafting system is big poopy simply because you spend all your time on gaining that sweet SWEET plasteel, only to gain a roll that’s complete garbage, and subsequently nukes the entire item. Its not fun, nor does it seem like something players in general like (does anyone at all enjoy this system currently?). Having new blessings AND/OR a way to obtain level 4s AND/OR add another tier (level 5), would start spicing things up. This would also apply to perks of course.

  3. Let players know stuff!! Your thoughts, intentions, ideas, what you do or DO NOT plan to implement
This point is just for clarity. I know these comm-links serve this purpose, but they are very broad, and feel as though some of the communications from players are being ignored or just not addressed. I’d love for FS to either tell us if they are (or are not) going to be working on something. This would address players leaving/not playing at all because at least they’ll know to expect/not expect something from the game. We all know how big of a hit the player base has taken in just these last few months, so if the issues that are brought up are at least openly communicated, it will give players some hope, or closure.

Ok I think that’s it thank you again for a great game so far, hope to stay!!!

Really happy I never decided to try and farm for Power Cycler right now!

Don’t do it Fat Shark

So the patch #9 will just be some minor balance tweaks and farm able skins to keep the crowd busy(distracted)…

And…

Words like ‘‘following’’ or ‘‘right after’’ are used to describe a time span of 7 to 14 days, if they are used by Fat Shark staff.

This patch and content drop better be good and solve some of the high priority issues the player base mentioned on this Forum. Because you sure know what will come out in the fourth week of May!

There 2 simple adjustments for crafting system that leaves core design with locks intact, but makes crafting a lot friendlier to players, and more respectful for players efforts and time.

  1. Consecration should not ever result in Perks and Blessings below T3.

  2. Option to downgrade item from Orange back to Grey.

Core game mechanics of annoying players with nonsense and wasting as much of our time as possible will be still there. Even locks still be there. But players will be as happy as nurglings.

Some blessings do not exist on T3+.
At least this one is T2 only:

Ah yes.
Nothing is more fun than reseting your item to grey over and over again, in order to be able to try out a different combination of Perks/Blessings.
And then having to reset it again and again in order to get back to where it was before…

This would not really change anything.
It only takes dockets out of the equation.

It would probably actually make the situation worse, since a session of trying to upgrade your current weapon, might result in it ending up in a worse state than it was before.

Most important thing to be updating right now, IMO. Hope there are some big changes to under-performing blessings to make them more competitive.

Then bump such blessing to T3. Easy.
And you know how insanely rare items are just right stat distribution? Getting 370-380 weapon is one thing, getting such item with right stats - is like winning jackpot in casino. So yeah - player will be willing to re-roll it over and over and over again. Better then loosing it permanently to rigged crafting system.
Oh and it’s rigged for sure. Take curios for example, use re-roll mod do karkload of re-rerolls with logs and see the thing that was obvious even without it:

  • Experience/Dockets/Chace for Weapon or Curio have increased weight. Ta-da! Massive KARK YOU in the face of players from Fatshark.

The elephant in the room

Still probably the worst possible way to “improve” upon what we currently have.

It’s in the spirit of current design - otherwise Fatshark would not even consider it. That’s why no really good change is offered.

But the spirit of the current design is the issue that needs fixing.

How would Red weapons even fit into the balance of the game?? They seem to struggle with the current balance. adding Red weapons would not go well for several months after they were implemented and besides that

What would the difference be between Red and Orange. and don’t go by V2 as V2 did it differently from V1 and DT being a different IP likely would have its own take.

Exactly. But no - they will not do it, they will not even acknowledge it. They are willing to “die on the hill of core out-missions design that makes players feel miserable”

Upgrade to red quality could enable modifier upgrades and remove locks from perk and blessing (as well as adding a pop up window, asking for confirmation when trying to dismantle the item).
