Chaos Wastes? PC Gamer article

I think it’s Daemons
Yes, indeed, a Daemon boss would be awesome - perhaps summoned by a ritual which serves as the climax of a new map, because we all know how much everyone loves CoD!

On that thought… what about CHAOS CULTISTS as a new enemy type?
Specials could include MUTANTS and CHAOS SORCERERS!

We could use more types of Chaos cultists but I’m afraid they are already in the game in one version. The zombie-ish weak horde guys of the Rotbloods are Nurgle cultists.

Now mutants could be cool, and personally perhaps they could add an Elite in the shape of a Chosen of Chaos (upgraded Chaos Warriors) for Legend and Cata difficulties?

Then they could use buff as they’re not particularly “cultist” in appearance nor obviously identifiable as followers of Nurgle - unlike their specials the Blightstormer and Lifeleech.

Also, there are three other Chaos gods, each with their own distinct cultists, but most Chaos followers worships all four (Chaos undivided), so there’s still plenty of scope in the lore for variation of both hordes and specials!

They resemble the old Lore Chaos/Norcan Thrall (slave)

Screenshot ready now?

Appreciated. Always seems to be scattered info. I would imagine they’re trying to get things done before the end of the year. I am curious as to how they’re going to release the new content. Like, if they do manage to make Chaos Wastes, a career, and versus by the end of the year, are they going to release it all at once for a big shebang? Or a little something here and there?

I’d be really interested in seeing what they do for Sienna/Kerillian. For Saltzpyre/Bardin you can sort of narrow down what they might do. But for Sienna, would they try a different wind? Would they do more fire? And for Kerillian, would they go Wood Elf route or look to High/Dark Elf? I guess we’ll just see it as it comes.

I don’t think that’s possible given the current lore. Sienna is bound to the Bright Order.

Even though each career is a different path that the hero could have taken up after the events of V1, I don’t think it would make sense to have 3 Bright College mages and 1 from a different college of magic. It’s because her original career from V1 is a Bright Wizard.

For Sienna:

Holy Magic: (Myrmidia and Sigmar)

Elementalism: (Elemental)

New Lore of Magic: Like CA did for the Pirate Coast, maybe Lore of the Volcano or Sulphur

Tainted lore of Magic: Some Wizard can use 2 lore of magic or more accurately a mixed lore (either Lore of death like in the End Time or Celestial like one of the Priest of Sigmar could)

Alchemy/Industrial: There was a small exert about Nuln where they were saying that the Nuln Gunnery school/industry regularely employed Gold and Bright wizard, maybe something around gun/gunpowder

Non Empire type of Magic: Catay and Ind (even though they have very few bits of lore) had mention of Fire wizard that had weird spell/technique

It’s feasible but, unfortunately, highly unlikely. You have to remember it’s not up to Fatshark. They would still have to get permission from Games Workshop as they own the Warhammer IP.

The only drawback would be explaining how Sienna went from Bright Wizard from V1 to anything else. The careers are based off of the end events of the first game and show potential paths they could have gone. It’s highly unlikely she got training from any other College after being excommunicated from the Bright Order. IIRC she was kicked out from setting an entire town on fire. This is based off my loose memory of a conversation in-game between Sienna and Saltzpyre.

Don’t get wrong. I would love to see Sienna as a Gold Wizard but I also don’t want to get my hopes up.

To be honest if Sienna gets a new career I wonder if we shouldn’t just eat a bullet and let her have another wind after the events of “Dark Omens”? I don’t know how many more meaningful ways to play around with a single wind there are.

Sienna has lots of options as a bright wizard, with spells that could turn her to ash or smoke (stealth) and create smoke clouds that hinder the enemies (in the same way gas hinders the players) and she could also have some options for a more support role through talents that could cauterize wounds when using healing, imbuing companions weapons with fire/magic to give more stamina or some other ambient buffs.

A bit of change of subject but PLEASE give my man Kruber another ranged weapon.

What role needs to be filled by a ranged weapon that Kruber doesn’t already have

Well as all other classes have all kinds of variety of weapon I have hopes for something more for him. Other classes have weapons they don’t “need” as something else fills the role, but they get more choices.

A merc mght be quite proficient with pistols for example.

Rapid Reload ?

Like he has
HandGun: sniper/High Dmg on one target
Blunderbuss: Shotgun/Highish on close target
Repeater gun: Autogun/Lower Dmg but faster shooting

So it fill quite all of the niche that are needed but for cool:

Old Pistol/Revolver (Bardin could get a Revolver since Dwarf have them)

Nautical gunhttps:

Maybe Hochland Rifle (although it would fit better on Saltz)

Throwing Spear, maybe with a charging up mechanic (hold longer for more Dmg)

Also bow, I just think most other characters don’t have ranged weapons that overlap in roles. Like throwing axes is really its own thing on Bardin.

This is an excellent suggestion as there are warhammer wizards that use smoke staves. Could be very interesting!

^^This!

When Huntsman class was announced, I was secretly hoping for a crossbow for him. I absolutely love crossbows.

But are they Bright Wizard (Lore of Aqshy/Fire) or Grey Wizard (Lore of Ulgu/Shadow) ?

I’m an idiot. Smoke & Mirrors is a Grey Wizard spell. The smoke staff I was thinking of is from old school runescape…

Tbh though, the end times lore is obsolete now so I don’t see why Sienna can’t have a smoke or ash staff for her next career.

Anyways, I’m just gonna crawl back into my corner now and die…

For sienna we could see magma, lava, smoke and ash themed abilities and staffs.

I’m thinking a lava themed staff where the regular shot sprays fire and ash in front of her, while the alt fire mode fires a constant stream of lava dealing high single target damage. The emphasis would be on the single target damage with it having some armour penetration on the alt fire mode and damage increasing as overcharge increases

I kind of like the idea of a “quenched” career for Sienna: She overcomes her addiction and instead of raging fire we get smoke, ashes, and embers. None of Sienna’s careers so far have an invisibility-type career skill, turning to smoke and billowing around would be a cool visual.
