Hey Thyla, I don’t think I’ve ever seen this error before! Could you share a screenshot, please?

I am having the exact same issue, i got the deluxe new class dlc and im hit with 2020 error all the time

I am also having this issue, I just got the game and I haven’t been able to load past the tutorial and I’m stuck on the character select menu.

Could you all tell me which country you’re playing from, please?

I have the exact same problem in the UK. Got past the initial tutorial with the Hive Scum, then immediately kicked with the Error code 2020. Try to enter the game normally with a different operative, and I get given the same code. Restarted my router, same outcome. Reboot the pc, same outcome. Verified files, same outcome. All on Steam.

Hmmmm, okay, I don’t think this is restricted to any particular region or ISP in that case as I’ve received a couple of reports from elsewhere in the world.

Would you be able to share your most recent console logs please?

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Darktide\console_logs
  4. Locate the console log that corresponds with the session in which the issue occurred, by looking at the timestamps in the log names

Hi all, we’re looking in to whether cFosSpeed, a network traffic shaping application, may be causing this error.

This application is often pre-installed on systems with MSI or Gigabyte motherboards, but it is not required for Windows or normal network operation.

Some users have reported that cFosSpeed can also lead to network instability, such as packet loss or high latency, not only in Darktide but across other applications as well.

Historically this would result in Error Code: 2011, but we’re now looking in to whether it could be causing Error Code: 2020.

Is anybody able to check whether they have cFosSpeed installed on their PC, and uninstall it if so?

In order to play, I had to uninstall cFosSpeed. Disabling it or terminating the process in Task Manager did not work.

Thank you for help.

It worked?!

I just uninstalled the cFosSpeed and I can login again, thank you :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

I had this exact issue yesterday and this morning, was getting upset since I just bought the Arbites Deluxe package, returning to the game after a long break only to be welcomed by the 2020 error code  .

Uninstalled cFosSpeed, it prompts you to remove additional files that have to be ticked manually, would advise uninstalling all of them delete anything related to this app, after restarting my PC, was able to log in with all my operators. I think the restart is mandatory for this to work since at first I tried without the restart and it worked only after. Hope this information will help others as well.

So uh… can confirm, cFosSpeed and it’s related files were the problem. Just uninstalled it, and immediately logged in!

I say this on my own behalf, (and I always say this to people who help,) but I owe ya a drink Julia, thank you! :stuck_out_tongue:

I uninstalled cFosSpeed and all of its files, and I not having any issues anymore!

I’ll take a Guinness :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Thanks for keeping me updated, all!
