Blessing activation requirement vs power

Why do Blessings like this exist? A T4 blessing that gives “UP TO” +5% Power?

In what world is a +5% power bonus worth anything, let alone a Blessing slot? And this isn’t the only example. All or Nothing, Power increase at empty Stamina. Again a ridiculous bonus, +15% at T3.

Meanwhile you have Slaughter that gives +15% on kill, stacking five times for +75% total.
The only way this sort of balancing makes sense is if the first one is a typo as is actually Up to +50% power. But even then, the conditional effects don’t seem to properly correlate with the blessing power. “On Kill” is quite possibly the easiest, most consistent condition to activate a blessing in the game. Yet it’s also the biggest reward.

Will there ever be a balancing pass to somewhat correlate the effect of a blessing with the consistency of activating it? Because right now it’s all over the place and there are clear outliers.

Many of the descriptions in this game are terrible.
There are a bunch of blessings where “up to” is used, but they actually mean “per stack”.
Sometimes (like in this case) they do not even tell you how many times it stacks, or what the conditions are for each stack.

For example in case of Blaze Away, it says “up to +10%” and “stacks 5 times”, which sounds like “+10% when at 5 stacks” which would mean 2% per stack.
But what it actually does, is 10% per stack, stacking 5 times up to 50% bonus overall.

I love the concept that high peril increases damage, but it should be by more then this. Or maybe that’s a lot and it just doesn’t seem like it?

Even so it seems bad.

That’s about what I figured. The bonus is so terrible it MUST be some sort of typo or bad description.

When ever there is a description for something, just expect it to be incomplete or wrong.
Here is a list including corrections of (hopefully all) wrong descriptions in the game.
I am sure i missed something though.

It’s an entire metagame in itself to figure out the meaning behind the blessing tooltips.
Many blessings that don’t outright say so, do in fact stack.

Someone at FS doesn’t like adjectives and syntax…

I’m a little surprised how many people still don’t know how unstable power works when it’s one of the established meta force sword blessings.

It’s 5% per stack, up to 4 stacks at very high peril. Very reasonable amount for a proc condition you have complete control over.

I had thought they’d updated the description a while ago to be more accurate, did that somehow get reverted at some point? Edit Actually it might have only been warp nexus that had the description cleared up.

I think its beyond the current skeleton crew devs to change the display texts, because this is not the only case. If its not changing the value of a number directly we’re left to our own devices to figure out what they do and if they have 5 stacks. At least they (mostly) have UI tips now. Which unstable peril is very good about, I use it as a barometer for my Warp Unleashed stacks since that has no UI tracker…
