Are you serious? (cosmetic price complain)

Also, a lot of cosmetics are clipping through other cosmetics but also through our character’s face or are just misplaced depending on the face model, especially the cybernetics on the Psyker. If I buy something at the cash shop, I would expect that it fit perfectly well on my character.

Every single hotfix has a laundry list of ‘fixed clipping issues on new cosmetic’ fixes on it.

Yet some has remained broken for over a year.

“hey, we know we’ve done the Steel Legion already… twice in fact with different color patterns, but what about a third time for more money because now its Premium Chinesium!”

Likewise, much like the Krieg set, the Veteran in this Armageddon set looks…somehow worse than it should.

I mean, I guess at least they’re offering the original and better looking “Toxfield” Armageddon coat at the same time in the armory.

But yeah, this is hard pass from me, and terrible look for both Fatshark and Adia.

I prefer that the new one is much closer to the style of the original metal miniatures. That big gap between the coat skirts has always looked weird, just as the DKoK coat skirts look so bizarre. I think I do understand you in part; there is something about the first Steel Legion coat that is missing on the newest model. I cannot put my finger on what it is.

Maybe its the webbing and pouches, as well as having the combat knife/bayonet on the front, whereas on the new one they’re round the back?

What you said! I agree do much.
Have everything available in the shop Fatshark!

That moment when some pixels cost more than 5 dollerydoos.

The prices are ridiculous but they stay that way because people buy them…just saying.

Please @FatsharkStrawHat do take note of this too, it’s on the same page.

The plaque hanging from the neck?

It’s not the gorget. There’s something in the design, some characterful aspect that doesn’t feel quite right to me, as though it is missing element of character.

At least they didn’t just give the zealot ANOTHER pair of pajama pants.

Aaaand that’s the only positive I can come up with.

Why is the new veteran coat so stiff? It looks like it’s made of cardboard

It’s the lack of wrinkles. New coat looks freshly starched, as per the artwork. The old coat looks like the Vet has been wearing it for a few days already.

Break the locks on the cosmetics store please. Just offer 'em all up as a catalogue – might as well since clipping issues get so much love!

Hey, just want to add my 2c and say that I love the game and would be happy to support the studio more by buying cosmetics but the prices have been too high since the start and raising them further just guarantees I’ll never pay. If the prices were lowered then I probably would have jumped on a set of the current Steel Legion skin. I’m just going to wait for the prices to drop before buying or I won’t buy at all

To add to this thread…

I personally don’t care that I have bought at full price lot of cosmetics. I would be glad that they change the system, even if they would not compensate and just allow me to use the models I have bought.
Of course, it would be a problem with recolors if you had bought two same models, then here there should be a sort of compensation by offering the possibility to pick one free model as a replacement.
But, yes, Fatshark needs to seriously lower the prices. I would have buy a lot more if the prices were not so high.

And please give us a true cosmetic system.

My ideal system

Best things they could do is to rework totally the cosmetic system and gives us a for the drip (extended) version.
So, 4 levels of customization:
Level 1: we could choose our cosmetic model
Level 2: We could recolor our model
Level 3: We could change texture used on our model
Level 4: We could choose to add, or not, accessories to the model we use (like a candle, or a metal plate etc)

Add to this a weapon customization system with, here again, 4 levels of customization:
Level 1: the model we use
Level 2: a color we can apply to the model
Level 3: various details you could add (like a skull on the weapon, a different ironsight)
Level 4: accessories (scope, light etc)

They could sell: models, colors, textures, accessories. So more to sell…
And they would earn more money…

And I say it… this is not only a question of price, but more a question of what you sell at this price.

Lemme be honest:

~1200 Aquila should be the bundle price for a character as they originally were: that means with weapon skins and charms.

The current stuff that’s being sold should be ~800 Aquila like the first couple sets without skins and charms were.

Stop trying to shrinkflate pixels. It just looks absurd.

I might be willing to pay the 2400 for a bundle with skins and charms if I got coloring options, but as it stands, I’m usually not going to - almost every time the stuff in the shop is inferior to the achievement cosmetics or I want to wait a month to see if something better pops up and by then I don’t feel the urge to buy.

The sole exception to this is weapon skins for me tbh, which I buy fairly often even if I think the prices are inflated. They’re hard enough to find that if a decent one for a weapon that doesn’t have good free skin options (aka, pretty much all of them, though the mastery skins are neat for some) pops up I tend to purchase it.

Remember now, we can’t have more than three pages of cosmetics because it will explode our small brains with immeasurable complexity.

Then again, I just wanted to share this little gem of mod for those that don’t know. What’s this? I can see all the cosmetics that can be unlocked/purchased? Oh it even highlights the ones that are available from the premium shop? Boy - wouldn’t it be nice if ALL of the premium ones were available for purchase? Can’t have that.

@FatsharkStrawHat

For example I made a list of Bundles I would like to buy for Zealot, Ogryn and Veteran (there is steam page with all skin catalogued with pictures). Overall it’s 8 bundles I would be willing to spend $ after seeing them. Rest of the skins are not to my taste, but might be to someone’s else.

However, due to your FOMO, I can’t buy even single one. With how your FOMO system is setup I would probably have to wait around year+ to get just some of these bundles.

Think logically Fatshark: by that time all my hype from Itemization update and finally being able to play the game how it was supposed to be will be gone. I will be probably playing from time to time, but my hype and excitement won’t be at the same level so I won’t be eager to throw extra $$ at you. By that time I will be so used to NOT having these skins that I won’t feel the need to have them anymore.

If you had catalogue, ESPECIALLY NOW after Itemization update, you would see huge extra profit becasue people would like to buy extra since hype is at it’s highest.

You are wasting potential profits.

Also side note: there is mod for PC that adds all premium skins as locked skins to Cosmetic menu of your character so you can inspect every skin from every angle easy without waiting for them to show on store with it’s lucklaster preview option. Something you should add to game Fatshark.
