I had 200 hours in the first six months then dropped the game because of the atrocious lack of content. Came back because after 2 years they finally broke the weapon locks. And my question is new class when?
VT2 didnât add a new character because they actually had unique characters with multiple unique classes each. Darktide has faceless nobodies (for âmuh customisationâ big mistake IMHO). New classes or new âoperativesâ would add more unique stuff just like how existing classes have unique weapons and skill trees. A skitarii reject could have unique skills like fats hacking, ability to âsealâ doors for enemies and have like 5-6 unique weapons like Rad Guns, transonic blades and a few more I canât remember now.
Each archetype has 3 careers. Since the tree update.
Would you have been ready if instead we had charactersâŚand you wouldnât be able to stack archetypes? So no 4 Veteran, no 4 OgrynâŚ
And mean 3 or 6 new VA, each with 3.800 individual voice lines.
Itâs not a simple thing to add, itâll take a lot of time before it happen.
And ideally a Tech Adept would not share any weapon at all.
Well that might be more of a problem than anything, as while in all accord itâs more sensible to sell it, then you might have problem with selling cosmetics for it
If anything talent trees need to be condensed and more impactful. So many talents that feel âmandatoryâ and make many other options mediocre or downright worthless. Actual build variety just feels so crippled by the tax-heavy pathing.
Hotshot Lasgun (Sub Nodes changing it to either a Volley Gun, Laspistol or Longlas)
Other potential candidates: Commissars (Instead of being working like a Support branch, having it be Saltzâs Bounty Hunter), Grenadier/Saboteurs (Explosives/Traps); Transmachina Ocula (Tech themed, but not Admech stuff)âŚ
Zealot Enforcer:
Concussion Grenades/Carbines (Think R6Sâs Air Jab from Nomad)
Cyber Mastiff
Other potential candidates: Crusader (Melee tank focused); Redemptionist (Fire focused)
Ogryn itâs more about what can they write rather than what they can find, and for Psyker itâs mostly picking new ability from the 5+ disciplines.
Honestly I donât see that as a problem, itâs just part of the balancing factors
