(ANSWERED) 14 000 aquilas to new XBOX Store players, are you serious?

Fair point and absolutely correct.
People who bought on Xbox would have done so either way. The digital currency did little to change their opinion in either direction.
Still it’s seemingly the backroom deal Microsoft haggled out.

If you look at the new competion that was announced in steam there is a dlc, awarded to the winners as part of the prize.

Still waiting for Fatshark to announce something on this. As @FatsharkCatfish promised. I am really dissapointed its taking this long…

I forgot what she said, but were they going to take the next week also to decide or is this week, the last week?

Well to be fair…
I accept to have no compensation at all

Just permit me to forbid a console player to play with me.

They can keep their 14k aquilas… Must say I am totally fed up of this… And I have more reasons to be angry at them.
I have bought on GP pc store the darktide imperial edition… and rebought DT + the DLC imperial edition later on steam. And off course, I did not play seriously on GP (was new on GP, did not understood that GP is for testing games, and steam to bought them… lol).
So I feel robbed and fooled maybe more than you guys…

it does just seem fairly insulting to pc players

condolences, pal
Also thought about it, like when i saw upcoming patch, it was looked like they rebuilding game for gamepad, when you target on single enemy and yada yada yada. It kinda wouldn’t be much of a problem, if they made isolated xbox version specificly for xbox users with this funny money and stuff, like who cares, but they rebuilding pc version just for bunch of dear console players and don’t give a damn about not just beta-testers, but for pc players at all, i mean they literally removing tide from darktide, now it just dark, i’m sure not only me enjoyed bunch of gunners or bulwarks that you can instantly kill with crack-grenade and get your part of satisfaction, but i guess, with gamepad its difficult not just point your gun properly, but even avoid a marked daemonhost.

So now when they got their aquilas for encouraging - devs gonna lead them by hand so they won’t loose interes in this still pretty raw game. And what about us pc players? Did devs fixed crashes and errors? Did they diversify maps and objectives? Did they add new or at least variate existing guns? Maybe enemies? What about outfits? Free ones, not this clipping abomination.

Yea, they add a perk tree which most skills was simply retaken from vt2. and also 450+ new dialogues, sure, thank you, it was good course, you could continue to improve quality of life, but instead you started preparing the ground for our dear console players with this rebalance bullican’tpostswears.

Maybe i’m wrong, i would like to be, but for now it seems like they not just unappreciate us, they abandoning us. I mean we already bought it, there is nothing we can do, and they know it, that story with pearl clutches proved it. there new xbox players on horizon, and these “silent majority” who don’t know/don’t care, they’ll continue to play, donate and most likely support this “day-to-day improving game” so Fatshark, or ones who above them will still got profit.

For now nothing changed since my first reply, “few weeks” already passed, and we still ignored, i mean yea, i’ve heard catfish response that they actually >DO something, but it really hard to belive. They either silently working on something grand thats actually laughable, everyone saw how they forced that perk tree patch, or just casually working on upcoming patch with another beta-helmet recolours, or maybe even beta-pants.

And remember, we talking about beta-testers specificaly, guys who didn’t pre-ordered game, but also paid a full price for imperial edition and such - will get nothing, cuz we didn’t “support them from start of the game”.

Unfortunately, my comrade, this is still the case. Fatshark seems to be keeping us here like cattle - chew the grass and don’t «moo» too much (sorry for the comparisons).

no need to, i’ve also did this “money cow” comparsion, and it really seems so. No one of them dissaproved this, so “it’s hard to gauge their opinions on it”.

Actually, responding to the end of your post, it comes out very oddly that they took almost nothing from their most successful game, WH Vermintide 2. For some reason they decided to make everything from scratch (in terms of gameplay), just forgetting all their experience.

And they also added such a spiteful attitude, not to the most loyal part of Darktide audience.

Yeah, a year ago, online pre-orders alone (with beta helmets) were running into the thousands (pre-release, pre-release days). Many of them bought Darktide after good impressions from VT1 and VT2. And Fatshark just gave up on them.

For example, I haven’t played VT1 or VT2 before (I thought it wasn’t my genre). And now I don’t want to try, because buying those games (even as a gesture of support for the developers) is not appealing to me - Fatshark don’t deserve it, not with such attitude to the target audience.

It does seem that way, except for the gameplay itself. I really like that and I like it more than V2, but I have good friends who still prefer V2. The one change I would make to Darktide gameplay is to reduce ammo even more to make this more of a hybrid game than a straight shooter, but that would cause another uproar  .

(offtop) Well, look, it seems like an obvious solution (which even the average player understands) is to add more variability (through modifiers, etc.), but they don’t do this. They don’t even think about it.

You’re absolutely right, comrade. In the chain «hear the audience > understand the problem > solve it well», the failure occurred after «hear».

Honestly, I don’t care one jot about cosmetics in this game. It’s funny how every game wants to become everyone’s main fashion game yet does a poor job at it. As for why they did this, I bet they just hoped it’d bring in more players? I can tell you what would have brought in a lot more players - launching this game in a good state.

Since recently it’s not really about aquilas as such, which i still want tho, but more like about their attitude to the old audience.
From my perspective, i mean.

They said 2 weeks. I guess its next week also. But I will make new thread about the promise to announce it as soon as the time is up if there is no announcement.

Please tell me, did they say somewhere about 2 weeks? It’s just that this post (Update from Fatshark) says «in the coming weeks».

I wait another two weeks, and then I will ask them to edit the post, replacing «in the coming weeks» to «in the following months» xD

This is also a separate topic for conversation (so many different problems have already been mentioned in this topic), but yes, Fatsharks absolutely do not listen to suggestions (not to mention the problem) voiced by the community.

On the contrary, prices in the store were revised so that with one purchase of 2400 aquilas it was no longer possible to afford some armor packs (like it is now with Krieg’s death corps cosmetics). How stupid this is. And do they really think that this is not obvious to us?
