i never think they will listen we are last time they talking about give more option sell 100 aquilas that is 1 years ago.
ive been thinking, and come out with an idea, what if they make aquilas earnable? Sure someone may be voiced this before me, but i
m still gonna.
So you gotta pass maelstrom missions, and istead of ordos you get aquilas (really-really small amount, so we gotta grind and increase online) but still, you can get them. So there be 2 options - you still can instantly purchase them for money, or you can grind their small amount but for free. Also there will be reason to play that maelstrom missions for in addition to “test your skill” cuz me personaly, and i think many others just enjoying malice-heresy difficulty. Sounds like a good compromise to me, we get our aquilas and Fatshark still can monetize us for money, or online.
Its not like the solution we expecting from them, more like an future update, i`m pretty sure we still wanna our well earned 14,000-25.000 aquilas, but just curious how do you lot think, is this idea good enough for them to implement it?
Vt2 had them earned by doing weeklies, but this was a grindfest. Sure why not, but I am not for any permadeath mechanics or introduction of those. This would also mean losing all weapons and gear. Not a great idea
Missions to earn aquilas is not a bad idea but I think the content is not there yet. I would prefer them being earnable with raids as in vt2 that would be the end reward.
Lets face it, dress up in a game full of ”endless” repeatable missions is the measure of progression and bragging rights.
I like that idea
also yea would be nice to have another update at this point on what or even if we get something at this point that isnt just a shitty border or ugly skin noones gonna want
its really disappointing to see this, seems they are continuing the trend of doing something good then immediately shooting themselves in the foot.
I hope Fatshark see sense and acknowledge that we the pc community had to put up with a lot of nonsense
yeah, our PC players pay dozens of dollar to fatshark for a one-year test qualification. cheers.
Fatshark needs to realize what this means for future games. There is no point in buying anything at launch if a year later things like this happen.
But in Vermintide 2 you could only earn Shillings through Weekly Quests, you could not earn currency to buy any of the premium cosmetics. So it was similar to how the Ordo Cosmetics store is in Darktide right now – I just can’t see Fatshark ever allowing players to earn Aquilas through gameplay, they want your money.
Yeah totally agree that vt2 had much better. It should be same with Darktide. Why on earth did they have to make MTX ruin such crucial part. I was fine with Vt2 paid cosmetics as it was a minority of the cosmetics. Not the majority of them.
Still no response regarding the Xbox debacle from fatshark.
Well, the difference was that in V2 you could see all items for sale at all times and you got what you paid for without having to buy funny money first. Better in all possible ways. I’m not using the Darktide shop until it reaches feature parity with V2.
For some time now I’ve been thinking about updating the topic by adding an update of the best comments about you, and certainly yours will be one of the first. He said everything very opportunely. And the problem of the lack of box art armor is worth a separate topic.
Absolutely right. The «silent majority» is nothing more than a good excuse for doing nothing.
let’s be honest here, they will most likely come up with a solution (whether giving us Aquila or a shity cosmetic) after the Krieg armour is vaulted (not available instore). this has most likely made fatshark bank with “customers/consumers” buying Aquila to just obtain one set, let alone all four sets.
i’m a beta tester and a consumer who purchased the imperial edition all in one go. i feel betrayed knowing that my enjoyment and love that i have experienced (game was broken but the community was not) will not be reciprocated back by fatshark as this is a blatant disrespect towards vetreans who have been with darktide since day one (beta).
i will be waiting for a response and hope Fatshark will show that there is still ethics being practiced within the company relating to the “customers/consumers” and ultimately players of their valued game.
Well, it is a good excuse if their metrics that we do not see show that most people don’t mind. Personally I do not get the upset that other people got Aquillas, but I don’t spend the ones I have anyway because I don’t like the shop in the first place.
The games have problems I consider to be far more pressing than a promo for new console users (I also don’t understand how anyone can ever play an FPS game on a console, but Halo is a thing so there is something fundamental that I simply do not understand).
Dear sir, thank you for your generous comments. I also made a separate thread on the cover armor and it has fair amount of posts. Hopefully you will also visit and post there to keep it alive in the future.
I would be glad if you share a link to your topic here, so that perhaps not only me, but also others can get acquainted!
Here you go. Part of broader discussion on the ogryn. I think there were some really nice suggestions such as the powerpick and suppression shield.
I think they realise, it’s just very comfort thing to use as an excuse, that npc-consumers don’t complain or questioning anything.
Its not about the promotion but the state of the game and the community appreciation. Why was fatshark not more proactive on this? Why did they not provide us who played since beta a health amount before the (botched) krieg set. Its the mentality that (they) do not need to give a **** about those who supported the game, despite the abysmal and premature launch.
In a nutshell, many of us have vt,vt2 and now darktide, we ”feel” that same mistakes are being made and nothing was learned by the previous mistakes made.
This also includes the apology for the state of the game and promises that MTX was to be a minor inconvenience. Now its a milk cow, that Fatshark intends to industrialize. I am fine with premium cosmetics IF they were well done, and ADD more to the game, but not that the MTX are the only way to customize our operative.
