I think gaming in general though there are alot of nasty people.

I consider people displaying this kind of behavior as having some serious issues. You should feel bad for them as they clearly need help. In general I suggest gathering some friends and playing with them, you get less toxic and brainless behaviour.
Sorry you experienced that. Make a point to remember their names. If I ever group with such turds, they’ll be kicked promptly. I am a trade apprenticeship trainer, and I see this stuff a lot. It’s stupid, and I can tell you first hand that gender/race is certainly not an indicator of capabilities.
Instead of whining, you could just deactivate voice-chat and not play with people who don’t like you?`
I sure as hell don’t want to hear horrible nerd nasal voices when I play the game. And if the host wants to kick me for that, I simply leave.

I don’t know, when ideology starts crossing the line into fanaticism and an almost cult like mentality - it does indeed become scary. I am not just talking about some feminists but also many other ideologies today are becoming borderline extreme.
But then again, this is a game about witch hunters and heretics, so maybe they will fit right in?

I do hope SJW-ism and Feminism stay away from here, there a enough games out there that got ruined by it but i also do hope Toxic/Insulting people stay away either.
Dont want to join a lobby where i get insulted for the first 5 minutes, even if i am in the loading screen and i dont want politics/Ideology discussions in my games.

Consider hiding your gender sometimes if you are not feeling okay by not using voice chat. I think the game in general can be handled without voice chat.
I used to play wolfenstein:ET in Asia and this didn’t seem to happen. From what I have seen, girls who played with the boys were pretty welcomed. Maybe the West has to catch up in that regard. Western players have much more propensity to stack teams too. I think that it will get better over time.
Can’t deny that it is very toxic nowadays. your effort in trying to point out verbal abuse get labeled as whiny/SJW/feminist. I don’t think it was ever okay to call people sl** (certainly my parents’ generation would see it as very impolite) but some people are so thin-skinned they cant handle you saying that their behavior is not okay.

I’ve heard some really crazy crap in Chat.
One guy was trying to tell me not to play Witch Hunter Captain because it sets a bad example for people and is so narrow minded because witches are people too.
I was like… wow man…

In my almost 2 decades of frequent online gaming, never experienced that and i’m very prolific. But i’m Nordic-EU if that matters.

Sadly on some points he’s right, maybe not in the Warhammer franchise - but many games rewrite their established lore over years just to pander to the SJW-ism and make forced diversty changes in important characters in the hopes nobody notice them. So destroying their own lore for an small portion of People that dont even want to play the game, driving the larger player base away.
Best example is a game i played for a long time where there was a pantheon of Gods 50/50 Male - Female. suddenly they start to kill off male Gods and replace them with females - suddenly the story starts to revolve around more female main characters, starting to throw new female leads in there in with the preposition we like them, without background WHY they are suddenly there, they were just there and starting rescueing everything.
which killed the game in a way for me so hard at some point i started to NOT care about the lore, because in further AddOns they started to paint every male character as “bad” and every female character as “Heroic and Good”.

To me as long as it’s meaningful changes that progress the story in the right direction for the franchise, then anything really goes within those parameters.
But yea video entertainment have been LARGELY focused around male customers, and in recent years theres been some overcorrection in areas : /

If anything goes in the right direction and isnt forced because of this kind of agenda i dont have anything against it, but at an certain point it is enough and people will notice it when you try to F*ck over a established lore of a universe for something like that
