To answer your post:
yeah… surely you have not met these players cause you would not see it as it seems that’s what you do.
Yes I complain cause the guy with bolter has no priority and should watch for his team.
I have seen lot of guys using bolter that manage well their ammunitions… and I have seen several that yell every 2 minutes “I need ammo”. When you are stealing every ammos on the map, you have to question yourself…
You can have the best damages in the “scoreboard” you’re just toxic for the fun of the others players.
If I want to just watch a game, there’s a lot of video on youtube. When I launch a mission it is not to watch others but I want to play.
Again I don’t care to not have ammo with my zealot, even if when a monstruosity comes, the one that took everything has to manage it alone if it is a beast of nurgle… but with a vet, I need ammo.
The weapons I use are ammo efficient usually, but sometimes I can use bolter also, or Kantrael shotgun. And I will need ammos. And here if one guy take them all, yes I have a problem with that.
This thing is a work of art by the way. This way adults can still have a score board and all the toxic people having a mental health episode can stay ignorant to the results. Win/Win.
Why should someone get ammo priority just because of the bolter? Because he can blow away Crushers and other Ogryn types? And then you get to the parts of the map, that are filled with normal shooters and he effectively contributes nothing. Or worse he nukes them with an ammo inefficient weapon.
Bolter and Plasma are weapons you can use, when you are sure that the other 3 people can compensate your specialization on high priority targets, so you hold back with your shooting when none of those targets are there.
But i would rather have someone with the MXII or the Autopistol have a full ammo stack instead of the Bolter or Plasma. Because they clear the room of targets that matter.
*edit: Worst types of players with Bolter, are those that waste ammo on Beast or Plague Ogryn.
1 Mag out of an Autopistol right on the yellow spot is enough to kill a Beast of Nurgle from up close behind it. The Bolter is often just used to spray into them from the front.
And for a plague Ogryn you not even need to shoot. It has a fixed attack pattern:
3 lashes from it → (Window for 2 to 4 melee attacks of you) → knock back stomp of it where you have to dodge back from → (Window for 2 to 4 melee attacks of you) repeat
It dies so fast since it is weak to melee.
Oh and i do not believe, that 86.94% of the player base want it.
At least 40% of the player base takes 0% part in any online discussions.
They just play the game and want to have no interaction with anyone.
I recommend also Scoreboard mod plugin called Scoreboard Damage, it breaks down the kills more according to the weapon used for the kill, enemy class etc. Pretty helpful if you are trying to figure out how well your build is doing in match scenerios.
If you run out of room on the screen for all the extra details, then you can customise what to display in the Scoreboard mod settings. I usually just disable info about operated items, picked up kits etc.
At almost 900 hours of game time… I’ve yet to run into a really toxic player… Honestly I think the scoreboard leading to toxicity is a myth. Especially given that it’s available from mods right now, and if someone wanted to be a jerk and hold it above others heads they can do so mid match right now… Which honestly is way worse than what vermintide had.
Oh just wait you gonna see them. My newest members on my block list is a duo of two friends. Both Veteran, one of them was called Nißgerkiller and constantly played soundboard stuff from a screaming youtuber called Drachenlord. Starting a vote kick wouldn’t even work since they where 2 friends.
And at the end they where very talkative about dmg and stuff.
What the game lacks is first that the Players on your block list are listed with the ingame names too and not only the Steam profile name. And secondly there should be a direct possibility to send a ticked on those who you blocked for racist nametags.
I have 11 people on the list and i can not even send a ticket to FS because i can not see now who of them i blocked for blowing up barrels next to other players all time and who i blocked for naming his char Nißgerkiller.
You can see their Steam names on the default “scoreboard” screen. Whilst I usually don’t react to such people, I reported someone to Fatshark before through their CMs, no idea if any action was taken.
That seems like more of an issue with their setup on the social aspects of the game. It’s difficult to friend people and I have no idea how I would block someone in a game
I don’t really care about a Scoreboard but I would like a breakdown of my own stats. And I want it in game. I’m old and I don’t like 3rd party stuff. I don’t want to use some Mod that someone else cooked up. I realize they work just fine and I’ve seen them on here before but I want FS to provide it in their game. I’m an old crotchety man and I can be super stubborn for no reason. lol
So far 86% of playerbase translated into 20k downloads for the Scoreboard mod. Not sure if these are unique downloads or the total number of downloads, which would include people updating existing installation.

Assuming everyone who downloaded the latest version from 5 days ago is still playing, and with an average 24 hour peak of 5566 since it released, that’s about 32% of remaining players use the scoreboard, which is still pretty high. The % goes down if you include the Gamepass players.

also lmao at the guy who said why should I let bolter get ammo… it called teamwork and the bolter does the most damage, so unless you are selfish you let them kill specials because that is best for the team. imagine wanting to control how much ammo all your teammates use, and calling them names if they don’t do what you say? but they are “toxic?”
Also lmao at the guy who said anyone who “scores” better then him “killing everything” is toxic, most people like having a good player who is “killing everything.” Id rather that than some one who dead over and over that I have to carry.
There are mods for this now, that let you display the steam names of players.
Funnily the only ass’hole I’ve met in this game so far has been german as well and just randomly kept calling me a son of a wh’ore via voice chat every 15s or so.
I use it… and the last version permits to remove the score and to remove parts you don’t need
Tbh, now, this is a great tools for me.

But with the module for damages, now, by example, I can see that my trauma staff is a great horde killer even if I do the least effective damages as I usually do the most a dead but with lesser damages.
yup it is high, i’m surprised the anti score board clowns are not posting daily ptsd threads about how some toxic meanie used the score board mod to be toxic, play toxic, and then tell them how much better they scored.
this whole forum should be wall to wall complaints about how toxic players are abusing the illegal scoreboard mod to tell and the super good guy anti score board people toxic things.
or maybe just maybe no one in this community is toxic.
