Restart steam? A hotfix came through like an hour or two ago.

(Edit) It’s today’s hotfix 1.0.23. Just close game and Xbox App and restart both.
Indeed, for microsoft xbox app users, as it shows in my original post. Tried verifying files and restarting xbox app, also restarted pc. None of it worked.

Hot fixes like this typically take a little longer on MS as they go through more rigorous platform certifications. We’ll make some noise when it comes out on Microsoft Store.
Wait… so they pushed an emergency hotfix to their servers knowing it would brick the game client for MS users until the patch passed certification on Microsoft’s end???

Can confirm, made it past character select screen. Thank you, CMs, for working quickly. Seems like an hour or less downtime. Not great with no warning, but pretty par for course with any live service.
