So I tried the game again last, and found out I had to redo my Psyker all over again, thanks to the new tree.
And what I steaming pile of dog sh*te it is.
They have managed to make Inferno staff even more broken, like Soul Drinker that restores 15% toughness over 5 seconds and +5% critical hit chance on top.
It’s insane, how can you screw up so completely all the time.
This game is nothing but buffs. Last significant nerf I can think of is brutal momentum no longer killing multiple ogryn elites because ogryn pickaxe’s speciality was being able to oneshot ogryn crushers.
So why not make the highest dps class in the game with barely any weaknesses extremely durable and deal even more damage?
It’s not the end of the world, they just need to reduce the global cap on Soulblaze, delete Uncanny from Dueling Sword and Combat Knife or cap Uncanny at 40% Rending, then rework Smite so perma-stagger isn’t available 24/7/365.
Perhaps remove the 2% Toughness per second on Scrier’s too, bit overkill considering the Toughness regen options at the top of the tree.
Purg Shriek is basically a force of nature and Sister of the Thorn wishes it was ever this good. Very excited for the december patch to have another buff for Scrier’s.
removing uncanny from dueling sword or hell, removing/ reworking uncanny as a whole would be a huge W and much easier than removing it from a specific weapon. when all the game does is throw armour at you things like uncanny become way too valuable
Yeah, because adding stuff to a skill tree that makes something that is already broken and OP worse, is always really good indicator of smart, well thought out game design.
Maybe it’s time to understand that You can’t balance the entire game around Inferno staff, not everyone is using that in their games and not using inferno is like actually fine on Psyker
The tree rework was good, now they only need to nerf Inferno and the other problematic weapon/blessings like uncanny strikes and that’s it
To be fair, Smite + Scrier’s + Psionics now with 20% Rending from Souls Talent is most definitely not good. Smite needs to be reworked, ranged perma stagger, with infinite cleave and unlimited use is impossible to balance in a game where melee is central to gameplay.
