How can a psyker survive from havoc 40 if FS nerf smite and inferno staff?

I really hate using blast staff. That weapon is so weak against single target and inefficient against horde. Melee psyker in havoc 40 is also a joke without soul blaze. Strike staff and surge staff can’t even kill a rotten armour crusher plus purple before I reach critical peril. It seems no choice left for a normal psyker player to win havoc 40.

Havoc exists due to outliers exploiting infinite cleave and uncanny.

My team can win havoc 40 easily without inferno staff and bubble last version. But in this version we can’t. If you have a build for this version psyker havoc 40 witout inferno/bubble/smite/blast. I wish you would share it.

My sweet summer child, no.

Force Greatsword with Scriers and Disrupt destiny can match inferno staff with venting shriek for dmg.

That still includes inferno staff and soul blaze, right?

Talking about builds in isolation for havoc 40 isn’t super productive because success there is all about your team’s synergy. Inferno staff can be an absolute monster if properly supported, or a massive liability if not. There’s a good diversity of team compositions that can clear 40, but you can’t just bring a strong meta build and expect success if it doesn’t compliment the rest of your team. On 40 you win or lose before you even start the match.

No. What I am telling you is you can survive and do as much damage with a specific melee psyker build, as you can using inferno and venting shriek.

Granted it takes more skill to pull off because melee play is more dangerous, but you can.

U mean when a psyker player starts a havoc game after work. He must try different kinds of team compositions and plays again and again but finally lose. Then change his class to arbites or vetran to win a game?

However, most of psykers can’t do that. I am a psyker build editor and had already passed all combinations of modifiers havoc 40 game in dual. But my fans always complain that my scriers and gunkers build not sutable for them, that they always got kicked out from their team.

If you have a plan to solve my problem, that will be ok. Unfortunately, you seems not a havoc core player or a psyker player. That you can realise nothing about psyker havoc gameplay in this version. You may ask what a vet will be without golden toughness and power sword, as well an ogryn without explosion weapon and heavy hitter.

You can solve your problem by lowering difficulty. The only thing stoping you is your ego.

Easy. Fatshark will have to remove those absolute dog sh*t rotten armour and encroaching garden enemy buffs. “Only” … :squinting_face_with_tongue:

On that we agree. There us too much silly hp bulketsponge spam in this game.

That’s a rather wild take.

If anything the issue is current modifiers giving too much sustain, Purple itself forces people to run cleave, or anything that can make space to kill the purple elites, and either Stims or Rotten Armor makes some enemies unkillable until you deal with the purple ones near them

Remove Encroaching garden and Inferno staff will no longer feel “needed” (never was)

I’ve said this many times, but balance adjustments should not be based on Havoc.

In Havoc, only a handful of weapons and builds are actually viable, and most players can only achieve victory by following rigid, predetermined gameplay patterns. A truly challenging game mode isn’t about spamming Chorus, VoC, or Bubble while burning everything down with Inferno or DS, it’s about achieving victory through teamwork and individual player skill, regardless of what build or weapon you use.

I believe Havoc should be reworked after the core game balance has been thoroughly adjusted.

Can challenging difficulty not be achieved by going the Chaos Wastes route?

The randomization of weapons/perks and weapons starting from base level every match seem to be a recipe that could create challenging experiences; but I never played Vermintide 2, so if someone that has could weigh in that would be appreciated.

It’s just odd that Chaos Wastes wasn’t brought into Darktide, it seems like it was a popular gamemode in Vermintide 2.

Balance should drive havoc, havoc should not drive balance?

You mean all psykers should pay the overpower inferno by getting kicked out of all havoc team? Are you discriminating psyker players?
