WPoS, What do you think?

I read the challenge like that unfortunately … Otherwise, why would I have failed the challenge by doing a full game solo with the bots with a deed more hords in legend? By playing only with the hammer and delivering by doing L1> H2 ^^

Either it’s 60 enemy in one hit, as it is written in the challenge, or the challenge is bug.
Afterwards, it is not a question of killing them, but of hitting 60 enemies. What is possible but 60 is really really a lot.

If someone has successfully completed this challenge, it might be useful to understand otherwise ^^

My experience is exclusively with bots, so of course it does not apply all the time, but I feel like WP is really weak against Warpfire throwers. Bots rarely shoot specials, so on cata you get kicked in the donglitz real fast when these enemies appear. Had a fantastic scenario on my way to screaming bell drop where two flamers sandwiched the team and a mixed horde in the narrow corridor. The bots had no idea how to use guns so we got slowly grilled to a U5 Club Sub.

Compared to the other two melee-only careers Priest is really weak to fire. Slayer can yeet itself over the flames, while GK shield stops flames altogether. I’d like to see similar feature added for Victor as well.

The first upgrade to Ultimate allows you to not be repelled by flames or shots from ratlings. And push back weak enemies, which allows you to go face these enemies and kill them.
In addition, it lasts 8 seconds instead of 5 seconds with this buff.

This WP talent line is huge because, you will choose the improvement that best suits your team. This career is really very balanced, I love it!

I was aware of this talent, but imho it is a bit problematic for two reasons. Firstly, every time you want to deal with a single weak enemy that appears very frequently you have to use ult. Second, it requires you to sacrifice the benefit of choice for the last row, just to be able to effectively engage said enemy.

I meant for things like Tzeentch Twins, etc. Where you’re never not in a fight. This would mean you pretty much always have Righteous Fury up and enough Elites to keep the Crit stacks topped.

It’s not worth it over the Heavy stacking Talent outside of silly Elite density.

I haven’t played much with him yet, but so far I think he is somewhat OP on Legend due to the invulnerability during Shield of Faith (SoF). It’s basically a game saving or “I WIN” button whenever you feel threatened or you just want to own an entire patrol of armor.
That combined with his pure anti-armor and crowd control capabilities makes him, IMO, very very strong, maybe too strong.
The 2h Hammer feels slow as it should be, after all it’s a big ass WP hammer. But, maybe it should be just a little bit slower on sake of balance… What do you think?

Does anyone know what is the purpose of the special attack of the 2hh other than assert doninance over puny rats?

That is the purpose.

Can be used as a spicier block cancel for resetting combos.

The honorary 6th character of the game is pretty fun but they could have put more thought into his kit and what a double melee play style entails than just slapping dual hammers and a hammer on. Ironically I would like those for other Saltzpyres. Could have easily put some unique attacks that utilize the other side of the hammer for the dual wields. Single skull splitter just will see no use without being opened up to the other Saltzpyres. I don’t think I’ll ever run those or even the shield and hammer, not that it isn’t great I’ve just done them to death with Bardin/Marcus already. Not a great ‘new content’ move for bringing people back to see new, old things. At least the spear and shield for Kruber got some new attacks.

His new weapons are all pretty good but the tome could use some crits for its light combo seeing as it works like an axe with the seemingly non existent cleave and ok damage. The block speed is also very slow despite the mobile dodge. Greathammer is perfect and very fun to use, hope to see what the breakpoints are for stagger since the heavy combo feels so good to use and hits so many enemies even with the overheads. Kinda like Kerillian’s spear stabs hitting more than 1 enemy but on a hammer. Flail and shield isn’t flashy (except for the skin which is fire) but it works very well. No real complaints with his talent tree either, but I’d rather have rat weapon team knock back resistance on his ult in general and on the enhanced one immunity to getting knocked back by monsters or shoved by elites. Then it would be truly blessed by Sigmar.

Hes a good Tank/Support and I like his design. But his damage is too low. Hardly possible to carry with him.
While SotT still is op, this char feels up.

Should there be any other really?

How exactly do you own a patrol of armour in 5 secods?

take barrel, ignite it and use urself as bait. Et voilà.

Well on Recruit maybe…

No, you can’t kill an entire patrol in 5 seconds, but you can get a good start while invulnerable and kill a couple of them or even more if you potion up. And, if you take Unyielding Blessing, SoF lasts 8 seconds. Now you can do a lot in 8 seconds if you go balls deep and don’t need to dodge or parry at all
But I see your point, I’m maybe not objective enough since I’ve played only a couple of maps on legend with WP. I will test him vs Patrols on moded realm and see how many I get to kill in 8-10 seconds with and without potions.

Char is very nice. I managed to play him on Champion (I cannot host and everyone and their parents are playing him on upper difficulties) on Chaos Wastes. I didn’t play him so much so the following are just 1st impressions

Weapons:

  1. Shield & flail while can seem underwhelming is very good against the notorious Shieldvermins. If I’m not wrong your charged attack is also a parry.

  2. Hammer and Book is very fun to use. A bit confusing at first to learn the patterns, but once you learn the ropes it’s quite interesting.

  3. 1Hammer, 2Hammers , S&Hammer are similar if not identical to the Bardin’s weapons so no need to say anything apart they are solid.

  4. 2HHH is what Sienna’s mace should have been. In Chaos Wastes it’s very powerful once you start to put together AS bonuses.

Ult:
Great idea, targetting is very wonky. It seems to target the nearest ally most of the time, regardless your aim.

Talents:
a lot of good utilities for the party.

He can still carry on Cata imo, he isn’t as op as sott and let’s not change that, he just needs some minor tweaks and that’s it.
Devs did a really good job with balancing this class imo.

The class is mostly fine, I think. The only thing that bothers me are his challenges, especially the one where you need to kill 60 enemies with 1 heavy attack of book&hammer. Does its existence mean that hyperdensity is an official part of the game ?
