Would it be possible to get a new unique monstrosity? What would be the most realistic option?

I know there is an unfinished 40k Stormfiend variant in the files but what would be some realistic monstrosities to fight in Darktide? I would love like 2 or 3 unique ones to fight but that’s probably not a good use of their resources.

Outside of what they can reuse from Vermintide with a 40k skin on it, I think the best path forward for actual new and unique Monstrosities is Traitor Guard military hardware like Sentinel walkers or a light Chimera APC.

Chimera and other non Walkers would probably be quite difficult to make work (map verticality)

On the other hand, as Assassination target they could have quite a lot of potential.

Dreg:

Plague Toads (Would prefer it as a Special, using its tongue to hook players, like a Smoker in l4D)

Nightmare/Colossal Hulk (Twisted Lord\Gellerpox)

Scab:

Sentinel (Multiple variants)

Ogryn Berzerker (Could be used as an Elite instead)

There are quite a lot of other that could be brought (instead)

Plaguebearer I know some expect as monster, but I hope they’ll be Ogryn level elite

Deamons:

Exalted plaguebearer

sloppity bilepiper

plague toad or plague toad duo

blight drones

I’d quite like to see a Psyker for variety from the Cult of Admonition.

Any sort of chaos sorcerer would be nice, whether at special level or lord level.

Nothing. We’ll get nothing.

the new monstrosity is whatever nurgle plague we contract while aging away

There’s literally one in the game files already, the plogryn or whatever I’m pretty sure after Christmas 2029 though maybe release it

For me, a Blight Hauler (aka fart cart) would be fun.

Although something of this magnitude showing up on Atoma would mean bigger problems.

Darktide likes big un-armored monstrosities. The story is also leaning to daemons and summons. My other suggestion would be… a giant rot-fly. (plague bearer not included)

This is why I want a Dark Mechanicum themed expansion. Nurglite Daemon Engines would be sweeeeet.

flying enemies would be really cool
would def add something new thats for sure

Would love to get a Rot Fly as a Special Assignment boss. That way they could really have it stretch its wings and not worry about navigating maps it wasn’t designed for. A more generic map-agnostic version could also just “Hover” instead of fly, like how the daemonhost do.

Yes, this would be awesome. I just finished reading Genefather and Spoilers DM are part of the fight. This book is one of the more recent releases so seeing them appear here makes me hope we get mini’s.

I’m sure GW has something in the works for DM and my hope is they move out of Heresy and into 40k. The mess that is FS development along with the known difficulties to get anything done with GW doesn’t have me holding my breath. In any case, I would love to be proved wrong!

(For narrative balance, make it highly damaged when the players first engage it.)

Or if they want something more Nurgle’y there are Nurgle daemon soul grinders (which are daemons merged with the legs of a defiler):

KingKong

…but Nurgle.
