I haven’t been on the forums in a while but the pointless bickering never ends huh
Okay but what do you want?
Do you want more passives or more talents that require mindful input like Weapon Specialist Veteran?
Do you want the dog to be stronger (this is an incorrect choice and you should never admit it)?
To get it on par with everyone else it needs damage and survivability
Maybe just give back old concussive
The survival part is the one I want more info about because I feel like the only unique weapon he has that isn’t up to par is the shot pistol.
Who does Arbie need to out survive? He seems to be doing enough to outlast Veterans, Skitariis, and Psykers.
The problem is psyker and vet are notably squishy and think skit doesn’t even struggle with survivability, the real problem is all these classes can easily do double or more of an arbites damage… Then there is the ogryn who is not only way tankier but also puts out a decent amount more damage as well (rumbler pbb excluded)
I would assume this is bait but you did say the arby shotgun isn’t good. It has both damage and survivability, the best survivability in the game I’d say or at least on par with Ogryn.
Entertaining the notion there is truth to this (there isn’t), is that a problem? The class that puts out crazy crowd control and survives super easily doesn’t need to also be doing the most damage.
Arby is tankiest class in the game with just one node, the one that limits max damage that can be taken to health to just 50. Stack Max HP curios and you have a class that can eat half a dozen Crusher overheads to the face. On top of that the class has shields, allowing them to block anything, even gunfire.
Not sure how much tankier the class could be.
Whenever I see people playing Arby, though, I mostly just see them spamming the shotgun and running out of ammo three minutes in. I honestly don’t know why, I feel like ranged on Arby is truly a secondary weapon. Arby should be a dive tank that is always at the forefront of the team, staggering everything. They’re a little different from Ogryn, but also more survivable against more things.
Isn’t that fine?
A damage built Arbiter is still a tank. If they could match dps of all of those classes I would think they’d need to give something up.
And I mean that broadly speaking. I consider the mk iii ex shotgun the best weapon in the game for havoc and have learned that boltgun on Castigator and Nuncio is extremely bursty. His melee doesn’t hit as hard as mech power sword but that’d feel kinda wrong, wouldn’t it?
Tell me what attacks do more than 50 damage in one hit
What makes the mkIII so good I just don’t see it
I don’t think he needs crazy damage but he doesn’t have the dr that zealot and ogy have or the damage but he isn’t too far behind on either as I see it he maybe is like 25% ish less damage and survivability, survivability is anecdotal but damage is clearly low
Drive Them Back applies to range so in dense havoc hordes you can push swap and shoot to chunk them. Against melee elites (not crushers), a kill or two should be enough to trigger all damage blessings and put everything in the 2 shot breakpoint range. Taser shot works at any range and is a very underrated form of CC.
I don’t like fighting long range targets with it, but sometimes you just have to make do. I might be the only person here who actually likes Suppression as a mechanic (just not talents that boost damage to suppressed enemies).
No respect for the guys playing like what @BizarreSalp described, should be no reason for an Arbie to be out of ammo unless they’re going out of their way to shoot every lone pox walker.
I want to know, too. Since snipers were nerfed and melee elites are doing less overhead attacks.
Checking some leaderboards and maybe most arbites players just suck because there are some arbites keeping up but in my games the tend to do very little
The answer is bursters and overheads this talent isn’t bad but it’s not that crazy some proper damage reduction would would help things along
It’s not the WORST, but there are issues at play to be sure.
It basically strongly fulfills a niche of being control - the problem is that the niche of being control will always feel mid when there is extreme damage at play. It is in almost all games that involve a scoreboard the unsung hero.
Skullcrusher 's interaction with concussive being bugged now definitely reframes the class. To be honest I don’t think skullcrusher should be as strong and feel as mandatory as it does. I think that’s a meta issue for a lot of classes though.
Not sure where to take the class to make it feel better, but it feels very pigeon holed into a role for havoc in such a way that I don’t feel like other classes get stuck.
It aint gonna save you from those havoc gunners, that’s for sure O_O
Bursters were nerfed too. Maybe that talent is uneeded now.
I would consider bringing back the old concussive or maybe adding a damage reduction talent (not toughness dr) and some assist speed somewhere
Didn’t know how I forgot that stun immunity is locked to 1 keystone with extra talent investment or while you have castigator stance active which feels odd for the tank guy
Due to how incredibly lenient playing Arby is, yea that would be the case. It’d make sense that players are less likely to learn the game when they’re playing Arby.
Which Arby has in plenty.
what?! arbites dmg is absurdly high and they are unkillable do u play the game with 0 talent points maybe?
