…If you allegedly wanted to “avoid randomization and repetitive actions” and give players “Meaningful choices…made with strategy and goals behind them”? How is forcing players to deal with 2 RNG shops on 1 and 24 hour refreshes supposed to avoid RNG? How is removing choices from the player supposed to…give them choices?
In Vermintide 2, I can quickly, easily, and cheaply reroll both properties on an item to whatever I want. Sure, you have to reroll both each time, but that is infinitely preferable to a system where you can’t. Plus, with how cheap it is to reroll, having to potentially reroll several dozen times is just more of an annoyance, compared to having to wait for potentially several dozen hour+ rerolls on RNG shops. So what exactly is the benefit to the player of darktide’s system over Vermintide 2’s? I can only reroll 1 property, and I don’t really care about the decreasing costs because it was already cheap by default in Vermintide 2.
