Why are there no female ogryn?

See title. Why are there no female ogryn? Is it a lore thing?

Probably a GW thing, as there are no official female ogyrn models. Female Ogyrns are mentioned and seen in various books every now and then.

According to lore, Ogryns are extremely possessive and protective of their females, and they are rarely seen in public.

Half the ogryn you run into are female you just can’t tell :stuck_out_tongue:

you find me most amused ^^

BTT:
I asked the same question a while ago in a different thread.

actually I do not see any real reason in it.
Even if Ogryn would be over protectiv - as if the Impierum would care at all. Female Ogryn have also all muscle no brain to be exploited either as labour force or as shock troops.

Perhaps they will come as subclass as their evolution super tuned some traits that suit a different combat role.
You know the Imperium is very ‘woke’ if it is about exploiting the use of individuals and therefore it doesn’t care about your sex, age, disability … - as long as you are at least an accepted abhumen you may serve the Emperor, and only in death does duty end.

And it is not like Ogryns would have establsihed sofisticated planetary states to negotiate with the Imperium about the tithe

Because GW has never shown art or miniatures of them, but we know that they can be enrolled in the IG

Because there has never been an underwire bra invented that can handle the girth so they tend not to run around much and just stay at home

Ogryn lost females. We search. No remember where left. Me Ogryn life.

It’s a censorship thing. Female ogryns are too stupid to remember to wear bras.

it is, and i swear to the emperor if they make female ogryn i leave 500 toxic post and the game about it xD

I figured they were clones? if they can create the ogryn in the first place why would they need females?

don’t know too much 40k lore

No,

Ogryn are so called abhumans.
Deviations from baseline humans which have evolved in specific environments over thousands of years of isolation (mostly because of the Age of Strife).

Some are naturally mutated evolutions.

Others are created.

All gave in common a certain genetic stability.

In a way Astartes (Space Marines) could be counted as abhumans, too. But they are the Emperor’s holy Angels … Inquisitors might like you mention it.

Psykers might be abhumans, too, but the, are more often accounted as mutants, as they did not evolve to adopt to environmental situations … that is subject of debate … Navigators are clearly classified as abhumans (but direly needed ones → space travel)

Edit:
I just read the part about Ogryns in the abhuman-link above. Current lore states, Ogryn are not stupid but have an hyper focused mind on survival thus higher abstract thinkig got lost over the millenia …
Had to state that… I’m a proud Ogryn player

It’s a big psy ops. They say Ogryn are so big because of the gravity on their home world.
That’s all lies!

They say many Astartes aspirants fail the gene seed process and die. That’s all lies!

I suspect if an Astartes aspirant fails the process, it is because he mutates and becomes an Ogryn.
They then wipe their memories and give them fake memories about a homeworld of Ogryns.
That way the Imperium gets loyal simple minded labor forces.

are there female astartes?

No. And that is why there are no female Ogryn.

Astarted get their IQ boosted. And if all that fails, they become Ogryns.

No, the implants are designed for men and will not function in female bodys …

Closest thing are the Adepta Sororitas (Sisters of Battle), but they are still baseline human

Heretic!!! Burn!!!
