Hey Guys,
i really miss the Story in Darktide. We have some Cutscenes, which have nothing to do with the Macropolis and we have nice looking maps with only running thru, but no story.
Did i really missed the Storymode? I dont missed the Ingameshop, u cant miss it, but i missed the Story…
Oh, you saw the cutscenes? Yeah, that was it.
I thought i was meant to be as an Intro for the Mainquest? Wtf is wrong with Fatshark? Guys, really?! Satisfactory has more Questcontant. And the only Questcontant there are the Summersloops and Mercerspheres and they are Placeholder…
If you have every Played Vermintide or Vermintide2 then you will be in the know. Most of the back story or overall story is from character chat during missions or graffiti on walls. Things certain NPC’s say, hell maybe even from the Medicae dispensers. There has Never been a direct line story in FS games. Look at it this way, we are reject ex-cons, how much true information is the Inquisitor actually going to tell us since they are basically sending us to our possible deaths each mission as nothing more than canon fodder.
Hell we don’t even know what Gryndel looks like. We are not important enough for the Inquisitor to even show their face to us.
What we’ve seen so far is the beginning of the story. The part where they set the stage and introduce the world and the characters before the actual events start happening. “Welcome to the inquisition” is the actual start of the story.
More will come with content expansions. Think of what we have now as a “season 1”. Season 2 will be the next story segment.
With the difference that Season 1 has about the amount of content of a teaser trailer and already at episode 3 ( which is the 3rd cutscene) starts to repeat itself (“You suck, earn respect”) until level 30 with the worst plot twist in movie history. 
This game story much like vermintide is told on character interactions, scenarios, missions, mission briefings, the story is a thing that happens around you.
It will continue happening as more maps gets released.
Sry @Eder, but the Story in Darktide is nothing comparing to Vermintide.
In Vermintide 1/2 you had an order in the missions and here in Darktide only one hub where you can select different missions, but they are not related. I don’t think that’s comparable.
NO, theres no continuity to it but its there, the story is in the details man.

I hope this is considered more of a pre-season period than season 1, because we’re getting shafted in content if this is what our seasons look like.
Pre-season would be smart since launches can be notoriously rough.
