i think many of these weapons are decent but dont have ammo economy or talent support/blessings

might be controversial but my picks with ripper and stubber is solely picked for gunlugger incendiary stacks or the rending node for it and shovel is just a better cleaver :shushing_face:

i’d love to go back to knife IV and grenade gauntlet, for it is exactly the opposite of branx & kickback but with the same pace.

a 1:1 switch so to speak and prior to nerfs netted equal results given the melee moveability.

g.gauntlet was decent to good at some point in time though with slower reload on the slower side.

honestly its fun to see what people like the most, honestly i thought the heavy stubber would be higher on the list

personally i hate the stubber for it slows me down and forces me into a stalemate kinda turret situation i dont enjoy in my playstyle.

sliding/dodging in and out on a whim flicking between branx and kickback to deal at a seconds notice with 2 ways of dealing damage feels much more organic and fluid.

honestly i feel that gameplay difference i definitely prefer the kickback.

stubber works if your team has your back at all times and enables you to play to its full potential.

with kickback youre the autonomous “spielmacher”, which i clearly prefer.

the really interesting takeaway here are the weapons everyone goes yeah i couldn’t make this work even with my team the poor power maul gets no love

thats what emotional support vets are for - you’re pretty much always topped up. if no vet is present, might as well ditch everything but heavy stubber for occasional jarate sniper onetap and go all melee
