Which Twink-Link Stubber is better?

I notice there are 3 different types of the gun, which is just unnecessary extra grinding, but is one better than the other, or do they stand out in any way?

Gorgonum is your friend since they released it.

Thanks, do you know what makes it stand out the most out of the three? I can’t really tell much of a statistical difference simply by pressing V to check stats.

Not super sure, I’m following the lemmings.

I think it’s a combination of how fast you can set it up, high power and still reasonable range and ammo.
It’s supposed to be a shorter ranged version of the stubbers but in practice its range is totally good for the game so it stands out from the other two.

Stubbers, like many weapon variations, probably need adjustments as gorgonum is used by 90% of the people in game over the other 2.

twink-linked

Intentional, or betrayed by autocorrect? We may never know…

I spend a lot of time on a website that auto-replaces the ‘f’ slur with cute twink so that’s probably what happened lol.

Well for some reason Fat Shark only gave good accuracy to the one with high damage. Kinda like how the bull butcher hits more targets has wider AoE faster attacks and does more damage than the other 2 knives. An actual ogryn designed them.

So yeah on paper Krourk has about 11% more damage between resupplies, and the Achlys has no trigger delay on top of deploying and swapping a little faster. These are literally irrelevant in game because they have an effective range of like 15m to the Gorgonum’s 35. And you can shoot the Gorgonum without deploying it (without the crosshair hitting 1/3 the screen) so in gameplay terms it has the fastest kills after swapping.

Another ogryn brain failure of the people who really, really failed at most design elements in his kit. I mean I am trying to be positive but on top of being unfinished and content starved nonsense like this exists in a non existent loadout. Horrible amateur design.

Obviously the one with a high rate of fire should have the best damage modifiers for unarmored, while the heavy MG should be best for hitting resistant targets. Instead of ‘duh heavy is duh best because duh damage’.

The Gorgonum, as the others have said, is the only good one.
The other 2 are pretty crappy, including the original one that was and still is.

Ironically, the blessings you may have wanted on the others you probably don’t want here, go with Deathspitter and Overwhelming fire. Not sure if it’s by design due to lower RoF or bugged, but the continuous fire stuff takes forever to build stacks.

P.S. You can edit titles here.

Gorgonum, Achyles has bad effective range and is terrible versus anything else but unarmoured and infected. The original Stubber is just a worse version of Gorg.

So you think Krourk is better? Everyione else is saying Gorgonum is the better of the three. I was using Krourk and the recoil, even at 80% stability, is just atrocious. Not even 77% damage allows for enough dps to offset the drawbacks. TTK leaves you vulnerable far more than anything else. I use the Kickback and that feels safer to use, if you play smart.

Don’t worry about stability, it’s a dump stat, whatever it does, doesn’t matter.

The Gorgon is better because people only want to use the stubber to shoot at flak armored enemies and specials. Its accuracy even when hip firing is good, and that makes it easier to shoot in small bursts against shooters and stuff.

The Krourk and Achylis are both more suited for horde clear, just is. No, the inaccuracy and bullet spread doesn’t make sense. Just point them at a blob of guys or a mutant and let loose. Pretty sure all of the heavy stubbers cleaves more guys than the braced autos and they all have the clipsize to do it, too, which is what makes them ok at crowd clearing.

If you want to know more about the stubbers, just make a bunch of declarative statements like “stability increases accuracy” or “the Krourk kills muties and beast of nurgle faster than the gorg” and someone will record a video to prove you wrong.

You misunderstood. “The original Stubber is just a worse version of Gorg”. Krourk is the original Stubber.

Well, Twink-Linked Stubber it is then, hope it doesn’t get censored.

'Member when Twinking meant gearing up your low level toon with gear from another higher level one? Simpler times.

Fun fact: “Twink” existed before that as a name for young men who went after sugar daddies. It was adopted by gamers to refer types of people you describe specifically for it’s homosexual (and at the time, homophobic) connotations, since the common view in games was that twinking was a pretty low act.
