Demonhost - kills as a max 2 players

Hound - Has been nerfed 5 times.

Mutant - Has been nerfed 3 times.

General Enemies - No longer appears from behind

Shooter Enemies - Nerfed DMG, Rate of fire, response time.

General Difficulty - Reduced the overall amount of enemies, stationary hordes, specialists.

Story - They have ignored the whole premise of our mission, and you can now take it slow and hang around enemy territory.

Missing Features

  • Crafting got its remaining features added.

  • The false advertising crowd got most of the items that they probably do not even use added.

Content

-Extra conditions

  • New maps
  • New weapons
  • More unnecessary variants to satisfy the snowflakes
  • More free cosmetics
  • The comissary wich will have more cosmetics added to it.
  • More ways to purchase gear.

What you have given them

  • Hate

  • Anger

  • Bad reviews

  • Like 40% at least reduced sales (prolly more).

  • Denied income from taking the cosmetics store offline.

What you expect

  • More content, and more free stuff, even though they are not making any money, and you boycotted the game on release, wich heavily affected sales.

  • To continue nerfing the game so you can play on damnation, without having to learn how to play the game.

  • Everything to be tailor made, and heavily customized to your own personal specifications.

  • For them to beg for your attention, even though you are constantly calling them incompetent, in one way or the other.

So yeah
This is you, the community, this is what you do, this what you have done, and what you continue doing.

Please use those brains you are always flaunting, and move on.

Why are you hating on me, I have barely complained on the forums?

There are some things with the game I have gripes on; cosmetics mostly look terrible (esp. Psyker’s), they need to buff underperforming weapons (buff my Vet’s Stub Revolver) and game performance/bugs needs to be worked on.

– I really dislike how terrible optimization of modern PC games is something the end user have to fix by themselves nowadays by brute forcing them (buying expensive hardware).–

I have 557 hours currently on Darktide and it is the main game I play daily for at least 4-5 hours besides Starship Troopers: Extermination an hour here and there.

Love the game, but a lot of the criticism from the playerbase is well deserved.

You have to be able to see more perspectives on things than only your own.

10% customer retention rate is not a result of Darktide community. It is a result of poor business decisions.

Executive in any other industry, having less than 10% customer retention rate on a product 6 months of its release would be already hard sacked. Take your 3 months vacation, hugs & kisses, don’t let the door hit you on the way out sacked.

All of my friends that stopped playing are not even part of any Darktide community. They stopped playing because the game is grindy, boring and has no content (yet most of them give positive review). They have not even come back for this “new and amazing” patch. They stopped caring and moved on.

People that are still here, who as you claim it only gave developers anger, hate and bad reviews are the ones that still care about the game and 40K universe. Without them you would most likely be running around empty morning star. Get a gamepass version to see how it actually looks.

New maps

We didn’t get a new map. We got a new missions. Mission that is occurring 50-60% on an existing map tileset IS NOT A NEW MAP.

Same way if I replace doors and luggage space on your car, its NOT A NEW CAR.

New weapons

Do you mean the weapons that were in promotional materials for the game release but were not in the game on release?

No one asked for cheap recolors. we wanted original 40K skins, which lore is full of.

More free cosmetics
The comissary wich will have more cosmetics added to it.

Cosmetics that are broken, comissary that makes slender grins and paid store cosmetics that were postponed BECAUSE no one from fat shark actually tested the localizations. Event cosmetics that no one previewed, are missing the main skulls decal.

2 million sold copies, but only 3K players daily, is not a result of any boycott.

Ok, let’s sum up the main complain point in this community:

  • break the lock: won’t make the game that easier as most player in Damnation already have their weapon of prediliction well rounded.

  • having all map available at will or more easly: don’t affect the game difficulty

  • better quick play: don’t affect difficulty

  • a way to use dimantine: won’t affect difficulty beside what I said on the lock

  • sharing the resources on the caracters: wont affect difficulties beside allowing you to play a caracter once you have what you enjoy on it.

  • balance between weapons, might reduce the difficulty of running with bad weapons but not the difficulties of being able to complete damnation.

  • not bugged ennemis: the dogs wasn’t modified because it was too powerfull but because it made no sens to have them jump into space or wrap to reach us once they started a jump even when way out of range. I wouldn’t mind them being faster or stronger if they were reliable.

About the false advertising: first, correcting them afterward don’t make it false advertising at launch. second we are still missing:
-solo
-self hosted server
-crossplay

  • deep and meaningful carreer being more complexe than in vermintide
  • better agency on your equipment than in vermintide

we got a poorly implemented crafted that has interesting idea but stupid grind mecanic.

Fatshark also gave us a halfbacked game at launch, lot of missing element, false advertising, silence treatment on recurring element, lot of missing QoL feature compared to vermmintide. dire price increase on the cosmetic compared to vermintide etc…

The game got bad review because things outside of the game loop feel incomplete or hostile. You wouldn’t have 600 bad review per month for 6 months if the game was excellent except for a small community.

The game got badmouthed at launch because a large part of the community wasn’t able to play until a week or more in without crash, the crafting wasn’t in, melk store was stupidly grindy to do, psyker was needlessly nerfed etc… the game was bad at launch and got a bad launch. simple as that.

they needed six month to get it in a state that should have been the launch and thus loose money and reputation by doing so.

what we expect:

  • break the lock
  • better map system to have more choices on mission selection
  • make it so blessing work well on any weapon they can be on

that’s pretty much it, the rest would be bonus that would be liked but not needed.

maybe if they stopped doing nothing and breaking the game for a second and actually fixed stuff or added real content we wouldn’t be complaining

they didn’t “nerf everything”
they took some broken aspects of the game like poxbursters not being able to be pushed after shooting them, or dogs just being broken af, or shooters insta killing you as soon as you peaked and actually made them well rounded and fair
just because you want this game to be as hard as humanly possible doesn’t mean everyone does.
i personally want it to be a challenge, and so i would love to see another difficulty added, but not fixing broken things and just being content with a mediocre horde shooter when it has the potential to be amazing is criminal

stop shilling for bad corpo’s and actually value your time

well if once they fixe the fact that amd owner can’t play and due to the dozen of mods I installed, I would say that the game is now in an acceptable state. Not great but good. The way it whould have been at launch.

But there is still some elements to complete to turn the community around.

There’s no point in writing anything here, zarraya comes in once a week to pointedly ignore/attack every opinion they see on here and then disappear again without a word.

Just as a side note, I just saw on Twitter that ghost ship games (dev of DRG) felt bad because they felt that one of their DLCs wasn’t worth the price so they reworked it and made it much nicer.
That is how you make your players want to throw money at you.
