I main Sienna and I don’t think she is the problem.
Way to much power creep have happen to other classe with new weapon.
Also, other class had munition to deal with, well, not anymore. Multiple new weapon don’t have ammo and even for the other one it’s not a problem since there is bag of munition litterally everywhere in every map ! That just remove all the purpose to use the ranged weapon wisely and let the mage do his job the rest of the time.
Sienna is still good and fun, but she’s in the shadow of all other carreer.
BW still on top thx to all his OP trait that made her a brain-dead to play char with low effort high reward.
Look at unchained, stupidly high risk in cata+ for meh reward…
To be fair here, unchained with good skill and a flail isnt exactly on the weaker spectrum either, disproportionately weak to specials maybe but she is among the strongest against elites.
At least in normal cata that is, her problems will indeed be magnified in special modes where specials are more abundant.
That not about special, that about poor heat scaling.
What the point to pick an unchained when a flail pyro gonna do the same with less risk ?
High HP doesn’t matter when you blow-up in few hit.
And I won’t even talk about BW vs Unchained.
When unchained runs on high heat she is indeed extra vulnerable to special damage but she also gains a significant amount of melee power which translates into a lot of benefits.
Cleave, damage, stagger, a real melee powerhouse.
Indeed the difficulty in playing unchained lies in finding the sweet spot where you got enough heat to make use of her passive but also not so much that you randomly die in a fight. A good one will however be able to keep a significantly high heat and thus gain the highest melee power possible and use that to smack enemies to noticeable effects.
Isnt she just about the only character in the game that can stagger multiple chaos warriors in a single heavy attack repeatedly?..,.Although this still falls short of BW who as you´ve certainly noted is kinda beyond that in the end.
In the most general terms, I consider unchained to be one of the best crowd control tanks in the game. You’re able to provide a lot of safety to your team with your damage reduction options and extremely powerful push/block abilities.
Famished flamestorm staff is another incredible space creator. Coruscation staff (overpowered?) also does amazing space things.
Moonbow and jav don’t even exist in the same zip code as that kind of functionality.
So like, what’s the point of sienna? Well, her kit, for one, which is in part totally incomparable to kerillian’s options.
Nop, that the flail, not unchained related. I play flail today on the 3 Sienna I always stagger full patrol of chaos. Also Pyro crit stagger a lot too, but not even needed.
It doesn’t matter how good unchain is played, as soon as the situation get on the edge she’s to fragile to carry/clutch because of the heat mechanic.
I don’t say she’s bad, I said she’s not good enough for the risk it take to play her.
I mean it staggers at least one out of light attacks by default sure, but multiple using overheads or running attacks which they often do? At that point you will need more power from some source.
Lol, Pyro doesn’t get 60% stagger power, damage and cleave. No, crits don’t make up for it. Unchained is a much beefier frontliner, and the stagger is actually stupidly good.
Kind of gave up arguing about power creep in this game, when people tried to argue that GK was bad on release, only to end up being one of the best Careers in the game.

They even gave Zealot a shotgun, without tuning down his Ranged Power, or lowering his Power/AS in any way.
I mean, people still argue he sucks on the basis that he cant deal with ranged specials well, same as slayer. Simply because they cant do those they are apparently bad classes that deserve the lowest scores possible.
I think it´s the same bunch that havent figured that monsters+ narrow spaces is a bad combo if you´ve got nothing to just detonate the monster.
Am I the only one around here that runs 60% bcr and the 50% BCR+vent talent? I basically just run enfeebling flames, push the [bajessus] out of everything, fill the battlefield with flame geysers, and block vent myself when things get too hot. You effectively have 100% bcr at high overcharge so if you take a penultimate hit you just blockvent no matter what your stamina is doing. Even then you have your giant ult security blanket and normal venting. It can be played incredibly safely.
She’s fragile if you don’t manage your venting resources conservatively but she has tons of very powerful options otherwise.
Agree on this, these 2 addition was nice.
Flail was the (for me) missing weapon sienna needed to deal with armored unit in a good basis.
Even in a famished build is work surprisingly well Oo
Corruct is fun, I like to use it time to time. Deleting Zerk with one clic is a bit OP but very satisfaying xD
I would say make it - finesse for all and leave it as like that, because its have some good synergies with few stuff. It wont be so stupidly strong but it will actually play into utility (crit refund, hunter, bleed etc)
Nah, only stupid thing is that they can move you even when they dont target you, this is massive bs
Sienna has access to infinite aoe cleave and lots of sustained ranged dps and control. Imo a problem some of Sienna’s staffs have is they’re not super-relevant to Legend/base Cata density, and scale way too well into modded enemy density, in addition to over-synergising with spots that make enemies climb because of the density. Modded balance is not important for Fatshark to consider, but I think Fatshark can solve one problem and fix another as a free bonus by adding a cleave limit to the staffs and then buffing their direct/crit damage. This would boost someone like Pyro a lot as well.
Should still have high cleave, just trading the infinite effective cleave for other stuff. Then make the left click on both Fireball and Conflag different from each other since it’s lame they’re the same.
For Sienna’s melee:
Sienna’s Dagger has a light stab that does the same damage as the cleaving light attacks, which is weird. It should be changed to the push-attack’s (a stab) profile. The actual push-attack could be made to chain into the heavy stab (this could also be done for the stab in the light chain as well but that might be too much).
Kruber and Sienna share the 1h Sword, which happens to have about the same effective mobility as the Greatsword (1h Sword has 10% more dodge range, but a slower move-tech at just 10% attack speed). 1h Sword could have 4 dodges and improved movement speed during attacks.
I’d like to hear more. Would definitely like this on Fireball staff, I’ve been starting to think it’s actually kind of awkward to shoot into hordes with since most of the damage/stagger happens at the explosion, but the fireball flies through all infantry before it hits armor or a shield. If it was limited to only cleaving 3 marauders you could spend less time shooting at their feet.

Worst part of Sienna is her melee weapons. She has pretty much 2 weapons.

Nerf heavy 1 for dagger and flaming sword and Sienna(BW) will become crap tier.
Lol. Even 1h sword is discussed as good weapon for Sienna. Did you ever see Kruber with 1h sword? I didnt. Becouse other weapons are better and more fun to use.

She had the least ammount of weapons. And half of them are crap. And 2\3 of good weapons are single atack spaming.
And her ranged weapons are not better then others.
For example If she wants to kill that special fast - she cant. Like no way. You need to charge bolt staff for like 1.5 seconds(and still you need some special build or headshot) or shoot 3-4 times with other stave.
Every other hero can just change\shoot\change
Boss damage? MWP, Moonfire, Hagbane, heavy Bow is better then everything she has.
Special killing? BoP, oneshot crossbows, handguns, longbow, moonfire.
Super armor penetration? She has one supercharged atack on the meeh staff
Horde clearing - Drakefire doesnt blind your temmates. Griffon foot or grudgeraker again is better then everything she has
