What is the math on rolling 2 sets of maxed curios with every thing you want?

I’m several hundred hours in on my main, and I have 1 curio with the properties I want, but it’s not maxed out at all.

I’ve rolled way to many curios already, they are the worst element of the crafting system.

I ask for 2 sets because you probably want to be able to gear up differently, the diversity in the gear implies you are supposed to be able too, but I can’t even imagine how lucky you need to be to get 1 set let alone 2.

You pretty much don’t. I pull them off Melk and upgrade so the locks only bother me once. I accept block/sprint efficiency, toughness/HP, toughness/stamina regen and sniper/gunner resist only. Most of the curios I use are like 18-19% HP but I’m not even going to bother rolling more. They work.

its easier to get 3 curios with stuff you need than just 2.

i know its not optimal, but sacrificing 3 perks on all 3 curios is about on boarderline if being rollable

write down what 6 perks you need the most and then just make sure all 3 curios have them, and then 3 other should be something random which is not totally useless

and of course dont be greedy, 16%th or 20%hp is great blessing, t3 perks are OK. Still with these assumptions you will need to roll 10-20 curios to find what you need.

there are few technical tips that help you to get better ods:

  • get base curios from stores over time, make it a habbit, you will be able to cut crafting loses this way
  • do not reroll perks untill curio is orange item, you reduce your odds of finding good perks this way
  • upgrade curio till you get bad perk, switch to another curio
  • once you run out of curios move to curios that you have just one bad perk and upgrade them, once you get 2 bad perks… currio is for scrap
  • finally look a at all curios and try to figure out which lowest tier/crap perks u wanna reroll so it matches your planned 6 perks
  • to assist make on paper list of all curios you got (update the paper list as you roll) and stats they have and balance perks there, UI is useless
  • to not lose the list, i usually do mass upgrade in one go and then deal with consequences
  • finally once you have your curios with perks you need, reroll the bad perks to good ones and u r all set

It depends what you want. My process is to buy every green curio that isn’t a wound, and every blue curio that isn’t a wound and has a desired perk. Then I roll them up until they get two bad perks, at which point I put them to the side in case fatshark every change the locking mechanic. At this point I have full sets of everything I want, mostly 2/3 t4 1/3t3. Getting 3/3 t4 is a pretty low chance so I don’t really bother trying.

while that’s a helpful post, at the same time its also outlines the insane problems inherent in the system.

oh hell yes, system is messed up. UI is not even giving you what you need. apart from obvious rng at play, having to write down values on piece of paper to get better user experience is quite not 21st century

frankly UI from diablo 1 had better UX in mind than DT (DT just looks prettier)

i still want to know the probability of getting 3 of the same perfect curios, and then 3 more… so you have 2 sets of gear to use that are perfect, or can mix match.

toughness, toughness regen, stamina regen, combat ability regen

Stamina, stamina regen, block cost reduction, combat ability regen.

I have 1 curio with toughness, toughness regen, stamina regen, combat ability regen after so many tries i lost count and its not perfect.
