I would agree except flamers have a habit of popping out of doors right next to you and insta shooting, so i do think the slow should be removed but keep the high damage so its punishing to let them get close but you can still dodge away quick enough. I do agree that flamers are not the problem though, if they left them alone it wouldnt be the end of the world, we also instakill them usually if they dont pop out a door.
I thought fire grenades no longer strip your toughness? They still do. Also âslightly increased base damageâ traslates into losing 100 HP in 1 second, if you donât manage to move away from the blast before it explodes. If you consider the crazy angles (locations you often cannot reach) nades can be thrown at you from, this is a bit silly. Flamers also feel overtuned.
I watched few of my mates just melt, and they tried to dodge the damage.
I would give it few more days, maybe a week before making my mind on these fire changes, Fire is a much bigger threat now.
I just keep in mind that before the patch we a lost a game because my ogryn could NOT jump over railings after a nade exploded on a walkway I was standing on. After this change I doubt I could even manage to attempt vaulting second time. These changes just make some other bugs and issues even less fun to deal with.
They no longer strip your toughness in 1 tick. Itâs now 2 or 3 ticks
Well, thatâs how complaints work
The vid really shows it. I mean does it matter itâs 1, 2, or 3 ticks? Itâs pretty much 1 second doesnât matter how many ticks it takes to delete your toughness.
Atm it feels like Aprilâs Fool joke. Someone should tell Sweden thatâs months away.
Maybe this will grow on me, no I donât mean the fire.
Fire damage, at least with Bombers, should scale with proximity to the centre of the blast.
So if you just clip the edge, itâs minimal damage, but if youâre in the centre then its extremely high.
This would be much simpler and more intuitive than some hidden exponential scaling.
The most annoying thing about the old bomber fire was if you just clipped the edge it still took 100% toughness. Itâs the edge-clipping that sucked, not the damage per-se.
Itâs too much. Iâm a big fan of difficult things, but when thereâs a team wipe from one bomber grenade, thatâs absurd. PLEASE tone it down, or change it back. Perfectly happy with toughness break, but this new fire is absolute BS.
Thats good to hear and I suspected as much.
Not sure when hotfix posted, but they fixed the fire now.
