First of all: your ingame shop is rubbish and produces an unbelievable anger in the community about it.
But then the point with the full price game and the scope, because there is simply too much missing from Wh40k.
Where are all the iconic melee weapons?
Powerweapons (fist, sword, spear, hammer, mace and axe) and no, the “power sword” and hammer are not such weapons
Two-handed weapons (MAJOP THING)
Where are all the (iconic) ranged weapons?
All meltaguns
Laser cannons
Sniper rifles of all kinds. Folks, you have a class called “Sniper” but there isn’t a single sniper rifle.
What were your thoughts on the grenades? I can only select one shell type per class. That sucks. Is that supposed to specialize the character? Please do not patronize us in this regard.
Armor… Yes, something went wrong in the development. I go to battle with rags. Sure, you get new skins, but they’re mostly just rags with a few steel plates on them. It just doesn’t feel right.
Where are the right armor of the Astra Militarum or better here: the Inquisition. They have power armor and other awesome stuff for their foot soldiers. Please check out the game “WH40K - Inqisitor:Martyr”. It did everything right in that direction.
Armor again: what’s with the ingame shop? 20€ so you can have a new skin? Guys, I spent 25€ for Satisfactory and spent over 3000h in the game (yes, unfortunately there is no 0 too many). And in the end I bought the game a second time via Steam because it was simply good. But 20€ for a skin? 20€ for a skin pack of five skins for each character would be ok. So around 1 € for a skin. I’m willing to spend money on something like that, but this greed for money only makes me angry and means that I probably won’t touch the game for very long. #Replay value
I’m with you on most things.
Although when it comes to rags and the armor we use currently, we are supposed to be prisoners working our way up. At the end of current story we just gained their trust. I’ve personally assumed that as story continues and we rank up even more our armor will follow suit.
Yes, at lvl 30 u are maybe a member of the warband, but the Story is not explaining this. And if u read the Books, then u know, the Warband of an Inqisitor is a Elite group with insane Gear.
The Inquisitor has access to personal power armor and the rest of his squad has access to the Empire’s high end gear. This includes exoskeletons of the adeptus mechanicum and genetic engineering. But mostly Powerweapons. I mean these are STK products…
Someone in another topic actually posted a model figure of an ogryn with a lascannon. Ogryn can likely handle most of the space marine weapons used by demolishers or even terminators. Heavy flamer or plasma cannon… if they don’t eat it.
We don’t deal with anything big enough to justify these weapons in the game. They’d need to be very strong to be worth taking but id imagine youd just be a burden to your team.
Id rather see plasma pistol, heavy bolter and heavy flamer added to the range and a powerfist and maul/flail added before this stuff.
Two Charas in Vermintide 2 had more choices. THATS MY PROBLEM!
For Example: Kerillion had Spear, Glave, Oneblade, Twinblade, Twohander, Bow all with an other Moveset.
Darktide hase for the Sharpshooter AND the Zelot: Onehanded Blades (feel all the Same), Twohanded Hammer, Projektilrilfe, Laserrifel
Did u ever played Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer? There wer the big Monsters and u can counter then with oneshoot big Guns. When not do the Same here? Melterbomb, Melterpistol. The Problem is, all the Weapons feel the Same.
I would expect that those weapons you mentioned will appear with different archetypes for each class in the future. It might be that we get, say, a Power Fist with a Sergeant archetype for the Guardsman. Perhaps a Special Weapons Operative archetype with a Meltagun. The Longlas/a sniper rifle of some sorts might appear later down the line, as you would naturally think of such weapons when considering an archetype called a ‘Sharpshooter’; I think I saw that it does appear in the files that were datamined.
Regarding armour, I would expect that we’ll see all manner of armour styles hit the real currency shop, including Inquisitorial Stormtrooper & Kasrkin I suspect, including the awful (in my opinion) Tempestus Scion armour. Power Armour I would be amazed to see as it is incredibly rare in ‘regular’ human size outside of the Adeptus Sororitas and the most well-connected/senior Inquisitors or officials.
As an addendum: the Power Sword is certainly iconic. It is perhaps one of the most iconic melee weapons of 40k out of the rest of the Power family.
Not sure how true that is. I mean, it’s rare, but everything good is ‘rare’ in w40k, relative to the untold trillions of people with nothing working the lines in hive city factories.
Seems like a fair number of elite units use whatever they think best and can afford/access, but these units are ‘rare’ in the grand scheme of the Imperium.
And at level 30, as in the cutscene, we have a formal spot in the Inquisitor’s employ.
