To achieve that you need to only hit headshots, it’s fire rate is a lot slower and it’s easier to miss. You can’t really jump from one target to another as fast as with shredder and delete rooms of them while running while you can with shredder
yes dps clocks at max with it too, but with maniac example it goes way more than 4k so our limiting factor here is meat grinder’s meter. I’m pretty sure it’s not very hard to hit most shots in the body with maniac rager or other human sized enemies if you are not 15+ meters away. So it likely reaches that same number as it did on mutant, i mean recoil on the gun is non existant. While with las gun it’s likely it’s’ max dps at around 1500 provided you have perfect aim which doesn’t matter with shredder
Can you even come close to something like that with a las gun? It would take a lot longer to kill all those enemies.
Again we are limited here with meat grinders dps meter and assumption that you will miss majority of shots on human sized targets which is absolutely not the case if you aren’t at long range given how forgiving the recoil is
But we had like half the weapons already before as much as 5 different difficulties, which have been on a decent level, in Vermintide. Yet FS clearly struggles to make decisions or to keep the game on the level of V2.
Yes, we´ve more range-options here to go through, but balancing melee-weapons really shouldn´t be an issue for FS. The most are even fine, but there is no reason to leave some like PS for 4 months in its base or axes with BM in the state as they´re, which is pretty much a “solution against everything”.
Even using flamer in a playtest should simply be like “Ok… i hold one button and clear a room in 3-5 seconds. This isn´t balanced…”. It´s just obvious af.
Balancing range weapons but flamer might be harder. FS has less experience in doing so and its obvious they don´t want to push the players, who still think this is a core-shooter, away. But it clearly needs to happen and even there it´s obvious which weapons have exeggerated basestats and which blessings are straight up mandatory. It´s just simple math.
You also really don´t need to collect data to be like “stats-blessings > utility-ones”. BM, Powercycler and the bulletshield might be the only utility-blessings that can actually compete with all those percentages. And it´s also obvious why…
The time for some threads breaking down blessings is soon. It’ll be a hard argument because blessings and perks legit make or break weapons.
Toning down Brutal Momentum isn’t even a hill I really care to die on, either. It’s literally just there to help Combat Axes with hordes (and to brick stuff like Power Sword), and if hordes were dangerous I wouldn’t even consider BM a problem.
We´ve weapons that are strong enough on basestats so. (Still flamer, PS, chainaxe, axes in general, bolter…)
It was a mistake by FS to up other weapons like the autopistol with broken blessings so. It´s just rebalance needed to keep blessings in a good spot where they don´t become mandatory for the majority to actually choose this weapon over others.
It´s too strong right now, it needs some limits in my eyes.
Yes horde are not that threat, but waveclear is the only con axes have in general. BM makes them outstanding. It´s like having a PS just the other way round (brutal single-target damage but still good waveclear).
As been said, i´m fully for utility on blessings so players can work around drawbacks or define their own playstyle. But it shouldn´t negate the only con a weapon has pretty much completely.
I haven’t used it/gotten a good one yet but from what I’ve heard/assumed you have Pinning Fire (that one is essential, Auto Pistol is awful without it and turns it into the shredder), and then ideally Blaze Away.
Pretty sure nobody has any idea whatsoever what you mean with utility blessing. Going by your dislike for numbers - these will end up being either incredibly busted or very lackluster (just like blessings now) with the additional caveat, that they are harder to balance due to the lack of numbers. This also puts a tremendous creative load on the devs, which I’d honestly rather see spend elsewhere considering the other issues this game has.
The auto pistol is really really good, and on psyker it is totally in the top category, but outside psyker it has enough downsides to not be the best weapon. You can point to mutant damage (the thing it’s best at) or that it has good ammo economy or you can kill hordes if you are willing to burn the ammo, but…
On Zealot Agri VIII is a way better all-arounder (and fills a similar role), on Vet the only place I really found a good use for it is on lights-out maps (I’m not even sure if there is a weapon type I’d not run instead of Autopistol, although I haven’t played much with headhunter/infantry auto guns).
It’s good and it’s fine if you think that in close range the damage is a bit too much, but don’t try to paint it as an overall OP weapon, it’s clearly not.
As i´ve said, i also used it before the blessings-patch on Zealot and Psyker. (When everyone considered it to be useless, i considered it to be balanced and fitting its job to deal with elites (rager, gunners, etc…), while also offering suspression-fire as a gapcloser.

Yeah, especially if you are playing all classes. All things you need to roll, reroll, reblless just to compare with each other, like you can’t test things on one weapon cause of damn locks…oof.
Well then sorry for pulling you into this, too. It is the bottom of the barrel without the blessing, and really needs pinning fire, you are right about that.
Mandatory blessings are definitely unfortunate. Some are a fault of the game design, like Confident Strike
Yeeeeeeeah, Brutal Momentum Combat Axe does what players expected the Bully Club to do. That’s why I don’t have super strong opinion on it.
But, back to utility blessings. Stuff like speedload and run n’ gun really need improvements and placed on weapons where that matters. Need less blessings with weird triggers and stuff that’s more than just single percent boosts to this or that.
I’m not saying its super OP but it’s def too strong. Putting 4k+ dps is ridiculous. Fixing pinning fire and few other small tweaks should be enough though
Shredder has more dps+ better accuracy. It outclasses agri in every way…
