- Rewrite DT on Unreal 4/5 or Unity or suck gaben fat titties for source 2… I have a bad hunch stingray sooner rather later biteing back the dev’s ass greatly like Payday 2 w the diesel engine ( end of the life content was severly limited by the engine itself) ((tbf better engine not garantees better qality if the studio contains talentless hacks case and point payday 3))
Yup, 5800.
DEV BLOG TOMORROW GUYS GET HYPED!
With how the timing is we are going to get the dev blog after the update is released and then get an emoji hinting at the new level that is already out.
The Tox Gas was copium all along…I should have realized this…
Prolly why, amd jus isnt stable sometimes, for any game.
Probably not, given the performance of the rest of the games I play. But thanks for trying?
For added drama, this upcoming Friday is seemingly a public holiday in Sweden. Not a lot of time left for dev blogs, or to get the update finished.
If there is one thing I’ve gathered about the Swedes because of Fatshark, it’s that they’re never at work! Lol
So, this is a thing that seems to pass me by somehow. Everyone and their pet squig knows about the wonderful holiday terms mandated into Swedish law. No grousing there, they are entitled, they should have them!
But…
Why is it used as an excuse for stuff not being completed? You know it’s happening, by law, every single year, so why can’t you take it into account when project planning? If they’re legally mandated, if they’re so well known about, how come they can’t be worked around to maintain productivity? If you know X/Y/Z is going to be away skiing for a week, but the guy he needs to work with for the project away the following two weeks, why does that collaborative task not get realigned to maintain a workflow without compromising either the holiday or the development pace?
Is this yet another example of a total lack of communication within Fatshark? Is the atmosphere inside there total silence and mistrust, or what? Literally everything speaks to an absolute disaster of executive management.
One presumes that when they said the 25th, they absolutely knew and had calculated that they would be closed for one Friday.
I mean, that’s what any functioning company would do.
So, they must have. Surely.
Sometimes your optimism is just adorable.
Funny you say the penance update was “fairly sizeable” yet the update doesn’t even work. Penances not tracking properly? Check. Penance titles able to be cheesed? Check.
They have released multiple updates since that patch, none addressing the penance issues they introduced. You know what they did address though? Their terrible cosmetics. They will release recolors of broken cosmetics then next weeks patch will be fixing all of their broken cosmetics while avoiding actual bugs and broken content that has been in the game for YEARS.
If it is coming out on the 25th, then it was already finished at least a week ago and probably more for a safety margin. The Microsoft Xbox approval process takes 5-10 business days (according to their own submission guidelines) but hangups of a month+ have been known in other games.
If they are furiously working on anything right now, then it is the next patch. Probably the actual itemization rework, which I suspect will trail the SotMG update by a month. Maybe two given summer holidays.
Checks out. Apparently they still don’t know for certain how they want to make itemization work. So my bet is that it’s coming out in August.
I’m sure our elite group of altruistic special feedback people will help them with that. It certainly won’t be catered exclusively to their personal preference, and they’ll definitely have the backbone not to say yes to everything FS throws their way. They’re the voice of the people after all.
Surely a Dev blog will be posted today, one week before right?!?
They have to get their next round of cosmetics ready first!
That’s true, oh well maybe next week
