You know, someone spilling “hate” is easy to discard as an idiot, they definitely do not ruin my experience with words. They might grief enough to ruin the run before being kicked, and that’s mostly all.
I agree some people need to change mentalities if they mean what they say when internet raging ; but you are not a moral authority on deciding that. All these messages about banning people who disagree with you on the principle of a ban system are very totalitarian.

I condone nothing, I simply don’t think words should result in someone losing $40, nor am I comfortable with letting a 3rd party determine what words should and shouldn’t result in you losing $40. You have the tools to remove problematic people from your lobby, use them. There’s a profanity filter for text chat and you can mute someone who you don’t want to listen to, and if you want to you can kick them.

i agree they should NOT lose the game at 1st they should get a in game mute from fatshark where they can not type or use voice chat for some time
then if they still do it like in diff games like COD and diff game you lose the right to play

i know some people will say fredom of speech BUT that don’t mean fredom from actions for some one useing hate speech and racism

i am yet to come across some one like this in the game (yet) but players like that need to know it is NOT ok

I’m an adult. I don’t need you or anyone else to be my nanny and dictate when my game is ruined and when it is not, and neither do other people. They are adults, they can block people they don’t want to play with anymore. You are not the internet-police. Being a moral busybody is worse than being “toxic” or being a troll, because at least these people know they are being obnoxious. Moral busybodies do what they do under the approval of their own concience by declaring themselves morally superior.

Problem with the report function is it’s a double edged sword. Sure there are plenty of toxic people that deserve it, but there are also plenty of overly sensitive people that can’t take criticism.

The people with rude posts deleted them. Or mods removed them. Not sure which.
But being called a female dog (That same poster also called me a ‘cry baby’ for having an opinion different form his), and being told ‘this community does not need you’ because they disagreed with my opinion is EXACTLY what you’re claiming I and I alone did; Attacking me for having an opinion they don’t like.

See, most normal, well-adjusted people dislike hate speech and bigotry.
And yet the ones who disagreed (not politely, BTW), showed they are anything but well-adjusted.

1. Most games have a report system.
2. They are not abused as much as the screamers like to pretend.
3. Most the people against it have, in some way, attacked me or insulted me or told me to leave. You know; attacking me for disagreeing with them.
4. The devs have final say. But if you look at everyone ‘disagreeing’; No one has actually discussed my points. Only called me a female dog, a cry baby, told me to leave, or said I’m out of touch with reality for expecting common decency.
   The best arguments wwere ‘I don’t want the devs policing what I see’ but, while that is a fair point; it’s THEIR GAME.
   Just like a storefront; They can kick out anyone making the game a hostile place and chasing away other paying customers. A report system (Run by PEOPLE, not machines), just allows others to report those spewing hate.

Why do we live in an era where ‘Reporting is bad’ but ‘Racism is OK because I can make them not MY problem!’ and ‘Why should racists have to lose the game they bought!? That’s not fair!’
Guess what else is not fair? People leaving the game because they’re told to KYS, or to drink bleach, or having their families threatened (I took those 3 from Evolve, back in the day. Had someone threaten to hunt me down and gut my family for playing badly), or hearing someone go on a racist rant against me because a Pox Burster yeeted me off a cliff (Took this from Darktide).
Why is it MORE fair for them to keep their game?

Being ALLOWED to say something does not mean one is IMMUNE to the consequences of their actions.

And let’s face it; It’s not easy to ‘abuse the system’ when the most reports a person can get PER MATCH is 3.
That would mean all 3 people would have to want to report him, plus the next 3, plus the next 3, plus the next 3, until the report threshold was reached.
How likely is that, if someone is not being toxic? How likely are you to get 10+ (Or whatever amount is needed to trip the system)) people wanting to randomly report you in a small timeframe?
Not to mention they would all have to report for the SAME THING!

I would not have returned, but I noted a large amount of people attacking me or attacking points I never made.
Once again; it’s the Devs choice. If they don’t put in a report system; I’ll deal.
But if they do; I’ll use it whenever someone is being racist or making threats. Because it means the Devs don’t want those kinds of attitudes in their game.
And if the people MAKING those comments don’t like that; they can either not be racist in a video game, or leave. Is that any different from ‘Grow thicker skin or leave’?
