Was this playing cheating?

Was in a game earlier and the other player on my team just shot across the level running at super speed and all the baddies just ignored him and he just spent the whole game waiting at the end whilst we 3 manned it. Dude was EXTREMELY rude to boot. Was he using some kinda cheaty mod or what?

Probably just another zealot speed running. I’ve run across a few three man zealot teams and they just speedrun past everything to the end.

They made zealots too fast I guess. People taking advantage of it.

Just another rusher idiot.

Seemed like the enemies weren’t even attacking him.

It’s always a zealot.

I didn’t see any cheating, he’s just stealthing and running past enemies… leaving them all aggro’d on you guys.

Knife zealot with invis ult.

Runs fast enough that enemies can not attack.
If there ever is a dangerous situation anyway, goes invis and dumps all aggroed enemies on the teammates.

That’s just how knives work.

Hes totally legit, i’m on team haveloch anyways, you talked down on him, so he gave you a skill check to pass

i mean, it took you so long getting into the elevator, can hardly blame the man

what diff was this on anyways? Malice? level 3? Of course you get people rushing in lower levels, its for melk juice high level players do this

i feel your pain brother, vigil station is always bad for farming missions, with randoms its 24 minutes usually for me, even at lower levels

Not cheating, just another speedrunning dipshit OP, block and move on.

Believe it or not, some people actually want to play the game you know?

ye i get it, OP is new of the game, i never complain when i get those, but also i’m always the first to finish the section if i’m with new players (cause i’m normally the loot hoarder), does this mean i’m rushing? probably, should i stick around and babysit the new player? Hell no, i do my things, he does his things, I just wait patiently untill he finds his way, or start spamming ping on where he is supposed to go if he is clearly lost in the big room of power matrix and can’t find the right stairs

Haveloch is also a gentelman compared to me, he left you some enemies to kill, since i never go invisible i just happen to kill all the enemies and leave none to the newbs, so their gameplay becomes just walking

Its Monday dude, people doing Melk Jobs on their other characters so they can play their mains for the rest of the week, on this guy POV you are just wasting his time

He might have been speedrunning, but OP seems to not know there’s a sprint button in the game, seems to often forget there’s a W key… and holy glacial Hel, I’ve never seen someone pan the camera that slowly, even with a controller.

There is much to learn, young padawan.

My question is: why wasn’t he kicked?

pretty sure those console players don’t even know its an option, also is more likely that he just carried their arses up untill the start of the video so they couldn’t feel like finishing the mission without him

I mean, who the heck joins a low difficulty run just to speed run it with a bunch of less experienced players lagging behind?

If you join a run on a mission difficulty that is aimed towards new players, expect new player behavior.

Its Monday my mans, people doing melk jobs on lower difficulties so they can play for the rest of the week with their mains

of course the guy was vexed about the time loss

best way to do it is to join level 3 Malice missions, those players usually are motivated enough about finishing missions even if they new, since its the best for farming xp

Then he probably should have left and found himself a new lobby, you can pretty much get a feel for how a run is going to go in the first 3 minutes.

And the point still stands, if you run a low difficulty mission expect to get new players behaving like new players.

If this dude wanted the run to go faster he should have taken the team on his back and hard carried that group through by doing all the scans, killing anything that moved, and let the team walk through the mission almost unimpeded.

Now i dont know if the zealot did this or not since the video does not show the whole run, but im going to lean towards “no” since the run was taking so long to complete that he was starting to get annoyed, and based on the fact that instead of making the run faster at the end he basically decided to be a nuisance to his team and make the run even slower.

Everyone in this lobby was pretty toxic, lol.

Should’ve just kicked him. Seemed like all other 3 players weren’t okay with him speedrunning, so a kick would’ve worked out.

I encounter some idiots aswell but I’m always alone with randoms or playing with 1 friend max so kicking ain’t that easy. But I don’t flame them in chat all the time. Sometimes I just write that they are annoying to play with and either leave if it’s the start of the mission and the kick doesn’t go through or I just play till the end and block the guy.

yes you should

should i stick around and babysit the new player

Yea, its a team game. It even has the coherency mechanic just to incentivise you sticking around your teammates.

on this guy POV you are just wasting his time

This is not a healthy way of looking at other people playing a game. If a casual/new player taking their time means they’re “wasting your time” then one should probably reconsider picking melk bounties that encourage you to look at other people in this hostile light or reconsider why you’re playing this game at all.

Granted, being accused of “cheating” when all you’re doing is using a build that caters to your playstyle is a little ridiculous.
