Was this playing cheating?

the poor soul was just grinding for Melk and he gets hate on the forum, he might not have chosen the most efficent way to do it, but we all have to start somewhere, really its easy to judge people for poor decisions

the other option he had was to stick with the team, and play the game for them killing every single enemy they faced

or you would have restrain yourself from doing all the work so that the new players could make some experience? That would have been next level cuddle babystitting, i take you all do this

Guy was an ass, but there is nothing gimmicky here. Its a pretty common zealot build combining a fast weapon, movement speed talents, sprint efficiency, and the Shroudfield ability.

OP is wrong to suggest he is using mods or cheats, but I don’t blame them for being mad at him. They are effectively taking away a players worth of damage and defence just to sprint to the end and sit in the scanning doors. This makes the mission take longer than if they were helping.

He could have been civil, even doing Melks is not excuse to be a di*k, if he wanted to speedrun a low difficulty mission e could have gotten in private game with a friend. He choose to do the mission with less skilled players than him. And if his aim was really melks, the fastest result would actually be to carry the team.

Kicking speedrunners fixes this situation nicely.

@Kyle My brother in nosh, you have Shouty Ult, press F, often. WTH are you saving it for?
P.S. Please tell me you don’t have revive on shouts and are ā€œsaving itā€, get rid of that awful modifier point and spam the shouts.

Man, if that’s what called ā€˜gentleman’ I for sure don’t want to meet normal or bad-tempered person playing this game.

I have a bad game from time to time but I wouldn’t try to make it harder for my team or scream f_ing idiot at someone. Especially if I know my temmate is new or not good at the game.

but OP accused him of cheating or other dude saying his name is dumb for no reason so both side is a bit rude here, we’re also not getting the entire picture since OP is not showing the whole run.

The guy is still bad for playing in such ill-mannered way though.

I have to admit that he’s moving pretty fast. I play the game since launch and this is the first time I see someone running like this but usually I’m focusing on enemies and not other players. Wa he cheating? Maybe, maybe not. I’m not playing zealot so maybe there is a perks to unlock that make you faster after doing something specific. I agree this person was rude but at the same time, you claimed that he was cheating without any real proofs. Instead, you could just asked him what perks he used to run this fast. Maybe you would have your answer then.

Disagree. Trolls rely on not being called out, they thrive when there are no consequences. Too many people are too sheepish and that only emboldens said trolls.
By the ~4th incident of someone clearly being a traitor heretic poorly masquerading as teammate, I’m saying something. If they escalate I will push back, if that means being ā€œungentlemanlyā€ so be it. I learned long ago, someone has to be the ā€œbad copā€ sometimes.

Well, it’s culture thing I guess. I’m just not used to being so aggressive at people whether irl or on internet.

It doesn’t feel like screaming and being rude to each other would result in anything anyway other than make you wear out out mentally.

Wow, finally someone filmed a rusher zealot i keep hearing so much about, and it’s… A man on a Malice diff doing his melk’s. Lmao.
Guess that’s why i don’t see those rushers. I don’t play on anything lower than damnation, and i just don’t care about doing melk that much.

I only watched like 3 minutes in but I didn’t see anything too crazy. Is there a time stamp I need to see?

Not cheating, not even fast, you just took your time. Letting Nadia die was an asshat move though, I would kick for that. Maybe they should replace the clear 8 levels weekly with something that can be done more easily on damnation to keep the experienced players out of sedition or whatever this was. Kill 100 elites/specialists, or get 500 headshots etc. Less elites in low difficulty means it would be easier in auric. You get the idea, something gameplay skill based and less grinding.

There’s a kick function now?

You know that douchebag? If he killed all the enemies I wouldn’t be here objecting to his behavior. But if he is going just sprint to the end and wait AND complain, he’s abandoning his team and that loses all my respect.

We were just angry at him for leaving us behind and then being super rude to us about it. The recording started later in the map. He was just sitting at the end throwing insults. I’m not a toxic player.

Such scummy behavior.

My last Melk mission was 5/6 Complete a mission with no deaths so I jumped into a low difficulty game. This jerk ended up ruining it for me anyways because he let that one person die.

My team were both very new to the game. Especially that Nadia person. Every time I moved at normal speed she got left behind so by the end of the mission I was going very slow to not leave her behind.

Pro tip, there’s nothing requiring you to advance. You could have ruined his game simply by refusing to go to the airlock.

he probably just swapped out the quests for ā€œkill x enemies/monstrocitiesā€ and ā€œComplete x missionsā€. Nobody takes grims/scriptures or no deaths quests because they are a pain to do.
Also, you are clearly extremely new. But you should know that accusing somebody of cheating is just being an ass.
