I’ve made at least 2 threads in the past on this during the versus tests and I’m tired of repeating it.
It's absolutely ridiculous that a class can become immortal, free itself while damaging nearby enemies AND revive itself at 80% HP ALL AT ONCE WITHOUT SACRIFICING ANY RESOURCES.
There’s so many potential ways of solving how broken overpowered Comet’s Gift with Blazing Bright is and you’ve chosen to increase the ability CD from 70 seconds to 100 seconds and reduce the bubble duration from 5 seconds to 2 seconds in the tests. It’s a very bad change that only further incentivizes using Blazing Bright with Comet’s Gift and makes the other 2 lvl30 talents completely irrelevant due to how strong Comet’s Gift is.
Suggestions to nerf Blazing Bright and/or Comet’s Gift:
- Consider removing the explosion from Comet’s Gift completely
- Consider removing the reviving effect from Comet’s gift
- Consider reducing Comet’s Gift’s healing
- Consider reducing Blazing Bright’s Fury conversion from health lost.
- Consider disabling Blazing Bright completely, like how Lingering Flames is also turned off for Versus.
- Alternatively, you could remove the bubble explosion and have the effect locked behind Blazing Bright, replacing Blazing Bright’s original effect.
- New idea, Comet’s Gift’s healing power is completely removed when reviving a downed player but otherwise unaffected for healing without being downed. (still problematic but less)
And then some buffs to compensate for potential nerfs and try to make the other talents worth using.
- If nerfing Comet’s Gift or bubble explosions, consider buffing the bubble durations to be 4/8 seconds, the 2/5 second nerf is too harsh for the other talents to be worth using.
- If nerfing/removing Blazing Bright, consider reducing the ability cooldown from 100 seconds down to 90 or 80 seconds.
All of these suggestions are worth considering in my opinion, but should NOT have all of it be changed simultaneously. Small steps, one or two things at a time.
