Warhammer 40,000: Darktide Launches

Eh, so Zealot is still pigeonholed in harder difficulty to crit build somewhat. I really wish, you’d consider Trainerifwork’s suggestions on making Zealot more persistent fighter. Sora like off tanker.

No Purgatus staff crash fix?

I’m quite disappointed with the low amount of stuff changed, considered the problems we had.
Looks like stupid chip dmg stays, sadly.
And not receiving materials after a failed mission is really a massive let-down. What’s the point of trying to complete 4 or 5lvl missions, if you’re getting nothing. Not to mention grindy contracts.

Many of you joined us along this journey to get here, whether in playing the technical test, the closed beta, or the pre-order beta. All of it helped, and for that - we are immensely grateful, especially knowing that it often meant you sometimes played a broken or partial game.

Not “Grateful” enough that those who participated in the Technical test and the closed beta get the beta cosmetic items though, it seems. Only “grateful” enough for that to those who paid.

I was really hoping they’d address Brain Burst damage for launch

I am also curious about this dog thing because i pushed them all the time

Explain the dog change in more detail. Pushing the dog when it leaped towards me was my go-to tactic since knocking the puppy down worked very much like the assassin rat in vermintide 2?

Is this a joke?

You better add that back on a hotfix as soon as possible, or harder difficulties will be the biggest toxicity pool you’ve ever seen.

Or at least give failed runs 1/2 of the resources found as a consolation reward if it lasts longer than X minutes!

B-b-but what about the scoreboard and its toxic green circles!

At least that’s gone!

Ye it’s complete shiet choice, as many in this game.

And of course the real money shop is in game and working and not "delayed to somewhere in the future  "

so when will we be getting solo and private lobbies? i read before it was supposed to be confirmed for launch and yet there is none available at the mission terminal. I prefer playing solely with friends and have had multiple bad experiences with randoms where bots could fill a better role.

Do we have any info for when private lobbies are going to be accessible?

Yes, sounds like there is still damage bleed through…

Removed minimum bleed-through of 10% damage regardless of toughness on melee hits. 100% toughness now blocks all damage. Damage reduction based on toughness at the time of strike (So at 75% toughness, the damage is reduced by 75%)

If I understand this correctly, you still bleed through based on the % toughness you have, but 100% toughness mitigates all damage from a hit. So if you had 99% toughness you would still bleed through 1% damage of a hit.

There are no private lobbies?

Jesus Christ, this game isn’t even half done, plenty of basic features are expected to come later.

Overall not happy with the direction being taken. Too much of a grindfest for a paid game. Grinding is supposed to gatekeep/train worse players not punish people without time. Many basic features like scoreboards and lobbies gutted. Having a paid cosmetic shop on day one is a big middle finger to everyone. EVERYTHING in regards to equipment is RNG. The worst part is we all know you will reverse and peddle back on all these issues until they are better, so why shoot yourself in the foot to start the race?

not as far as i can see, i go to the mission terminal, click on a mission and only gives me the option to “play” which immediately starts matchmaking with no options for solo or private lobbies.

we didnt even get the ability to reroll blessings, all the stuff at the Shrine still only says “Coming Soon!” meanwhile the in-game money store works just fine…

So to summarize

We get no new penances and penance cosmetics
There are no further cosmetics to buy for regular currency
No private lobbies but instead queues for a coop game with no p2p alternative
No new weapons and certainly no weapon customization
Still no tool tips explaining what certain attributes on weapons mean

So far the only difference between the beta and the released game is
3 new missions
and a fully decked out cash shop with loads of cosmetics and pricing that forces you to buy more than you need.

I wonder which of those two additions were the many surprises you were teasing us about when the pre release beta kicked off. It certainly wasn’t content.
