What do you guys interpret from the new Vox Transmission? We know that Wyrmwood got game ended by… something, but what exactly? What were those chain sounds we heard before Wyrmwood screamed?
Probably the silent mauler sneaking up on her until he overheads her.
Silent trapper (she’s surrounded by a horde of enemies that don’t block her net for you)
Sounds like chains from a deamonhost to me. Afterall this is written by abnett. He had some inquisitor vs deamonhost thing going on in his novels.
Yeah, a Daemonhost was the first thing I thought of, as well. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t being silly and see if someone else had a different theory.
I do find it slightly odd that the person whom Grendyl named his personal Spy organisation after wasn’t able to locate the retaken Imperial bases. Maybe she’d been forced so underground by Nurgle’s forces that she couldn’t even tell that there was a substantial Inquisitorial counteroffensive. That’s probably why she lost hope until she’d heard the Mourningstar’s Vox Transmission.
The Virgin Noisy Trapper vs. the Giga Chad Silent Overhead Mauler.
After listening to it, I don’t think it’s a Daemonhost. Voicework is very different and the Daemonhost hovers. This enemy slowly walked up to Wyrmwood.
MFW a Mauler hits me with that dollar store Chain Axe (I’m playing as an Ogryn)
Please go outside. Look at the sun and take a deep breath. For all of us.
Yeah, it’s a “tad” of incel I’m detecting from Monsieur k4Qu over here.
It rules that I can still see posts like this in the wild lmfao
I even gave him a reasonable excuse for why Wyrmwood wasn’t even aware that the Mourningstar’s forces were on Atoma for months.
Ah yes Warhammer 40k, renowned for its strong liberal values. When you enter the game, the loading screen greets you with very liberal quotes such as “Intolerance is a blessing”, “Facts are chains that bind perception and fetter truth”, Ignorance is thy best defence" and “Keep the faith, kill the foe.” Yep sounds pretty liberal to me
The loading screens should tell you enough, for real. It is probably about Masozi’s… accent and heritage like it is with most other people in this community who call the Inquisition “Liberals”. Like, for the Emperor’s sake can people like that just leave politics out of this little corner of happiness?
Ah but you see, the female characters aren’t hot so the game is doing soy lib wokeism
Darktide could stand to unf*ck its female cosmetic body types but otherwise yeah, everyone’s ugly af and I like that.
“Omg whaaaaaat the female characters look like they’re real people and not just objects for me to ogle? pffft that’s liberalism”
it’s probably the dude from the tutorial prologe finally showing up. grendyl wanted to personally get them interrogated and this guy seems to personally want grendyl.
Do you mean Captain Wolfer? He’s in a few of the Chasm Station (Assassination) Vox communications that I’ve heard since Patch #13, but he sounds a little different to the voice we hear in the Vox Transmission. If you enter the “Interrogation Chamber” in Chasm Station now, one of the Rejects will express some discomfort in being in a literal torture chamber, and Captain Wolfer may hit them with some Chaos BS over the Vox in an attempt to convince them to turn. For example, in one voice line he says “Yes! Behold how the Imperium rewards loyalty; how it will reward you!”
I wonder whether they might be a daemon. Wyrmwood referred to what was hunting her as a ‘thing’ and for a Nurgle-sponsored ‘capture-a-hive-city-athon’ we’ve not encountered any Plaguebearers who tend to be Nurgle’s daemonic foot soldiers. Beasts of Nurgle, yes, Plague Ogryns and Chaos Mutants abound too, plague hounds and daemonic matter, but not those nasty green fellows with their hideous swords and sores.
That today’s news mentions a place called the ‘Carnival’ makes me lean towards this even moreso, as in Mordheim, way back when, there was a Nurgle warband called ‘The Carnival of Chaos’. It is a tenuous link, I will accept that, but I rather want to splat more daemons.
