Do you guys think this is leading somewhere and if yes what are we being teased about?
I’d say vox transmissions I-VI wewre “just” giving background lore for our raids into tertium hive.
VII set the stage for the new signal mission we got back then.
But from VIII up til the recent XI I think they are building up for something new. Wyrmwood is talking about shadowy things stalking her, having cought her scent and are trying silence her…
That doesn’t sound like your typical nurgle cultist to me. This covert predatory behaviour for me has Genestealer cult written all over it.
Could of course also “just” lead up to a new mission type: escort/extraction - would still be cool
I really like these transmissions btw - could use stuff like that ingame more!
These vox transmissions would be so much better if it was pushed upon starting the game. Maybe the players would even knew about the existence of these things.

I highly doubt we’re getting a Wrymwood extract mission. I’m like 90% sure the Shadow Beast they were talking about last mission has probably already made them worm food (heh heh).
At best I would expect a recover their body/files/information, and avenge them against whatever killed them. I don’t know if Fatshark has really had players interact with anyone else good and alive outside of the Against the Grain mission in VT 2.
I’m less guessing plague marine for several reasons, first of which being that it wouldn’t be a hunt and more of a 100m dash through a wall slam dunking Wyrmwood into a pit.
Second I would say the description fits a beast more than a man. I feel like we might see something akin to an enlarged hound or maybe one of the larger demon insects.
I think a plague marine would also represent a HUGE jump in power that would likely get space marines involved to one degree or another.
So did I but then its weird we hear someone talking on the other end of the vox rather than just snarls or growls. I suppose its possible Wolf sicced some beast on WW to track her down and finished the job himself.
