Voice chat doesn't let me speak

I can hear others talk, and the voice chat is on, but when I press push to talk button nothing happens.

I am having the same issue!

No matter what settings I choose, it doesn’t even register that I am pushing the voice key (I have it set to default, G).

I’ve gone through Windows microphone settings, Steam audio settings, the in-game menu. Nothing fixes it!

same thing happened to me I tried fixing it with the steam audio settings and then when I restarted and tried to load the game now I’m getting EAC failed to initialize EOS auth status = failed, result = EOS _UnexpectedError so I tried repairing EAC running as admin, authenticating files all the while restarting several times but nothing works lol

Me too! Just three days ago I have exactly the same problem

It is not the mic, it works everywhere else. Its not a setting, or hardware issue

I DID notice a small directx auto update/install when I loaded Vermintide 2 the first time I had the issue. Its unfortunate, as it makes me actually want to use discord lol

Yea same here I press G and nothing pops up I love VC in Vermintide and its hard for me to play without it because I am very slow at typing :frowning:

Yep

I thought it had to do with directx so I spent time in dxdiag and making sure my drivers were WHQL and looking to see if microsoft made changes in the latest directx update… but nothing changed

Ya same I still can’t figure out how to fix it, def not a mic issue it’s on vermintide’s end just not sure what causes it.

nvm its all good for me I feel really dumb because all I had to do was start speaking and it pops up lol. I swear in the past my user popped up without me needing to speak whenever I pressed G so when I didn’t see it pop up I just assumed it did not work.

Mine still doesnt work I constantly ask if people can hear me and nobody says anything but it works in all other games and the mic icon still doesnt show up when I press my push to talk button or if I set it to voip and try talking. Only in Vermintide it works in windows settings and every other game.
