Vet nerfed to the ground with new talent tree

Trying to keep Markman’s Focus up feel pretty painful just as thought.

You hardly can stay in place when thing start to get crazy, then you have to race trying to get headshot kill while your teammate are slughtering them(and blocking your shot) and then there’s also shitty hit register that still never been fix since launch.

At least they could make you gain stack from just headshot hit or something but nope, headshot kill only.

Most of event in new map scream ‘keep moving’ and they also add talent that want you to stay still in the same patch, what the hell lol.

It goes very well with Agrippina shotgun, using special slug only.

Edit: 2 second timer is actually resting together with stacks, but not if you have no stack’s.
So even if you just spam tagging, you will have +8% every 2 seconds, regardless.

Revolver/axe sounds absolutely nuts, thanks for the build idea. Right tree sneeki breeki’s been great so far, switching to something geared towards mulching elites sounds fun.

With the round-up, it’s 1 kill = 1 round. Nutty! You can be a wild west psychopath twirling your revolver after every kill…with purpose!

Why limit yourself to 1 broken still-not-fixed OP blessing when you can use 2 ?
You’ll have to settle for 1 broken OP blessing apparently.

I assume Hand Cannon is still bugged too since seemingly very little got fixed, I got discouraged after seeing Close Range still bugged at 8m in the LUA (and grinder), this affects all the blessings and anything else that may rely on it ( I don’t need to tell you).

Huh, interesting assumption. Based on zaygr’s post in another thread, that doesn’t seem to be the case. It is fixed.

I don’t use any close range blessings, but I’m also not aware of the bug you’re talking about. Is close range being applied/counted beyond the range it’s supposed to?

Close Range since the big 13 wast erroneously set to 8m (from 15) and still is.

I know it is wrong now, but what is it supposed to be? 10m? 12?

Now Im starting to wonder if they aren’t going to fix it and just leave it in as a hidden stat boost. I honestly believe that most weappns that have rampage aren’t broken besides crit chainswords (Dueling Sword as well but its not broken because of rampage). I’ve mentioned this before but I am worried that the Devil Claw Swords and smol Eviscerator will become low tier weapons unless you specifically run crit builds on them (:nauseated_face:).

Sorry, I clarified, the values used to be:
melee: 8, close: 15, far: 30
Now it’s 8,8,30, essentially halving any close range blessing activation and damage etc., which is a big fat nerfing bug for many things.

As if Vet Auras were such a great support, haha.
The Vet Combat Abilities are much better team support tools than his auras, all 3 of them.

Oh, come on! 2 bolts for one elite kill (pre 13)? It was good. Now it’s lacklustre. I’ll still run this aura although I would love to have it in the middle instead of on the right left. At least I would have one more point to stare at (but not buy :frowning: ) tactical reload I’ve had to ABADDON (ekhem) abandon for more toughness buffs…

if Exhilarating Takedown wasn’t bugged, I actually think left tree is great for infantry la lasguns. Elephant in the room being the nerfs + tax nodes.

This update is so bad to veteran I wish I could leave a second bad review on steam

Just a day ago i was having fun in veteran. Wasnt perfect wasnt ground breaking but it was better than what we have now. How do you even make it worse?

The problem is that those 12% more damage will most likely not achieve anything. Just randomly adding damage without triggering Breakpoints does nothing. You also pay 3 Talent points for that buff. Iam sorry. I do not see how that is good enough for 3 Talent points.

The whole Focus Target Keystone would need a whole lot more benefits to be worth it. Even if you dont only stack it up once and keep it up the whole run, but use the CD mechanic, you pay not only with Talent points, but also the convenience of being able to tag dangerous stuff, or just stuff through flames, or a Trapper that is about to run away.

Edit: It is actually three to four Talent points. Forgot about the tax node right above Focus Target.

Honestly the best sum up i can give is middle tree towards VOC is essentially last update’s vet but more meh. It still works and the tag ability is probably the most usable.

Right vet tree feels pretty good but i can’t shake the feeling that it’s basically just Zealot Lite, especially since it’s also the stealth ability side and the blitz just feels like the zealot one but less cool.

Left side just feels awful. I don’t know why they thought having a movement stopping ability on a game that is all about high speed positioning on the higher end on top of having to constantly land weakspot kills was i good idea. I don’t have a great sample size but even in a normal damnation game
with 2 ogryns covering i was STRUGGLING, it felt like when before i got my PC upgraded and i was struggling to play at grater than 20fps.
