Vet were pretty OP, I was a zealot, i barely touch any mobs because vet were melting everything right away
What annoys me the most above all else is that the keystones are just slapped on at the bottom.
It already felt like vet needed 40 points for a build as complete as the other classes could with 30 but now that feeling stayed the same, as a best case, or got so much worse in most cases. Unless you used “broken” combos but those got “fixed” now ::))
Keystones didn’t need to be at the bottom, the fat needed to be trimmed and keystones needed to have taken their place.
I look at the vet tree and there are at least 15 nodes that could be combined into fewer nodes, moved around so they do not become “tax” nodes or could be removed outright and nobody would even notice.
I would bet money that I could entangle this mess in a single afternoon.
Definitely not “nerfed to the ground” thats a stretch. Could be better though
I haven’t had a chance to play or look at the new tree yet. But give it a week before we say it’s bad. Everyone thought the base Vet tree was bad when that was simply not the case. We could have a similar situation where we just need to figure out optimal builds.
They had to make “Counter-Fire” and “The Bigger They Are” mutually exclusive too huh? Bit worried we might actually do some damage. Pfffft.
Not that I’d want to waste my skills on that, but what the hell??
they nerfed all the good perks, Confirmed Kills included
Less Damage, Less HP, Less Thougness, Less reload speed all for some keystones that you’ll never get, plus they are all bad, i call this a massive nerf
Its trash, get this skill tree outta here.
Have people actually played with the tree and keystones or is everyone just raging for no reason right now.
Again everyone needs to calm down and give it some time. Its far too early too be saying anything definite the patch hasnt been out for a day.
Although I do hate thr rail roading that is still present.
Bad? No, nobody actually thought that. The worst out of the 4? Yeah that I can get behind.
There were only 3 talents that made the patch13 tree good and some of those got nerfed, either on purpose are on accident.
you are speaking with a 1900 hours main vet, i can recognize garbage when i see it, the rage is because if i know Fat Shark they won’t do nothing about it untill next big patch, and i will be stuck with this for a long time
No, a lot of people thought that. In threads very similar to this one when patch 13 dropped.
played a couple of builds revolvign around the left and centre keystones, they are super strong , havent tried the right yet.
on the whole and its early only 3 games played but thumbs up so far.
After the last patch (13), when the veteran was “on its knees” according to some - In my games I still regularly saw veterans regularly topping the damage charts on the scoreboard. Not always, but certainly in 50% of cases.
I reckon you guys should give it a bit of play testing before definitively saying this new Vet tree is unplayable. It could be that statistically Vet naturally attracts the better players, but I reckon maybe not…
Give it some time? If after that it’s poop, then so be it; at least there’s some time accrual in that projection.
I’m playing Zealot right now, and all i can see are vets getting annihilated in every game even more than after patch 13
Guess ill just not use the keystones.
Well, you have to keep the groups of “omg, vet got nerfed therefore new skilltree = bad” separate from actual feedback that includes the new gamestate.
I’d give you more of a point if you wrote that previous message on patch 12 in reaction to patch 13 notes but for this, I cannot.
This please
I think its fair to say any main veteran would have looked at the Patch 13 skill tree and said “what the hell”, since it wasn’t finished.
And its fair to look at this one and say the same, because its garbage. None of the issues addressed. popular skills nerfed for no good reason. Bland, uninspired keystones with gimmicky activations and boring buffs.
You can have your own opnion, and I can have mine.
I am sure i can jimmy up a decent enough build, but as i mentioned above, probably not gonna use the keystones.
Played without them earlier, so it aint no skin of my bones to do so again in an attempt to dodge the bad layout of the new skill tree.
And I’m saving my opinion until we actually have more time and experience with the new tree under our belt.
And I think everyone else ahould do the same instead of knee jerk reacting bloody murder.
