This DLC is what I have been hoping for 
But I do hope other V1 maps (especially the ones from Ubersreik) will get added in time, it would be a huge shame if not. Especially hoping for my favorite, Wizard´s Tower.
Lol okay. I still think you should actually play it again and see how much of that is the nostalgia.
Because that’s what got us playing V1 again and I was surprised to find myself longing for V2 after a few games.
In case none of you watched the stream for this DLC they did the other day. They said their would be no cosmetics in this DLC. But, that we would get something “much cooler”.
I also asked them about a new character, their response was a bit strange. One of them said, “I wouldn’t tell you if there was.” But then the other said, “But you are working on a new character”. Then finished with, “their is a new character coming, but I wouldn’t tell you if their was”. Not sure what to make of it really. Probably just Swedes being awkward with English.

I dunno, V1 had a far better atmosphere for me, the soundtrack was generally better imo, the game more immersive, darker, cooler, and mostly just the maps looked awesome. Contrast to that was the inn, where there was also darkness, but a calming one, it felt like a second home, a place of solace where you can escape to from the horrors outside. Despite objectively being a lot darker and grittier, and the keep being a lot larger, with far more details, life, and character-related items and places, V2 just doesn´t feel that way as much.

I’m quite sure that all of what I stated will apply regardless. Those aren’t matters of taste, those are matters of non-gameplay mechanics functioning better.
Compared to V2, V1 spawns 5 rats and 2 specials an hour so of course it feels lamer after V2. And I’m sure it feels wrong having push-stabs on only 4 weapons, 3 of which are (of course) elf. But why am I even trying to convince you? You’ve disregarded all I said with a ‘lol okay’ and ‘no I’m still right actually’. I can’t believe I fell for this.

Löl asking for more are we? We already got FREE SKINS for owning the first game. Dude, SKINS are the true enjoyment of playing any game! (I really dont want to do this usually, but before another debate breaks loose because someone didnt get the memo, here I go…) --------> /s
Im fully aware that no dev team has to do anything along the lines of “own the first game, get a bonus in second game” and I appreciate the free skins, even if I hardly use them. I only use Kerillian’s every now and then when im sick of playing an angsty punk teenager.
Honestly I didnt know why I expected to be able to play the old maps just as they were. To me, nothing they said as response to people wanting to do just that, similar to L4D maps in L4D2, sounded even remotely like they wanted to improve the old maps to fit into the lore timeline. But oh well, its basically the laziest thing they couldve done for new DLC maps, re-use V1 maps, make them compatible with all the new enemy types, and improve them a bit.
I also dont like how they parted with their modus operandi in V1, where only every second DLC was paid and the ones inbetween free.
I miss bounty board. I miss last stand. Hell, I even miss lorebook.

Its been an odd development and release cycle. It is very odd, that for a game like this, major balance patches are still in the works, and up til now Beta balances are still being released for the game. Its like we got a very early Beta version of V2 but it was released as a finished title. Welcome to PC gaming. Aren’t you used to being a Guinea pig yet? I remember how stupidly broken Civilization 5 was for example. The game didn’t even get fully polished up until more than a year after release! PC devs tend to release unfinished content often. No Mans Sky is another major offender. Just look at the game now versus the horrendous mess it was at release, its practically a different game!
So I believe to your last point, it is quite possible that we will see more of those features added. Like other alternative game modes.
Actually I think we may see the game evolve more in the next 6 months. Seems to me that Fatshark released the original game VERY early and continue to work out and polish the many bugs before concentrating on adding more game modes. Just my opinion of course, but it all seems to moving in that direction.
We will probably see more skins and cosmetics much later. I think they have too many other priorities on their plate, that needs fixing. I just want to see exactly what they do with the balance patches, because they can pretty much make or break a lot of people’s playstyles. Not being able to rely on your go-to weapon like you did before, for example, is a HUGE DEAL. Its like you need to readjust and relearn how you play if you need to start getting good with something else that may have received a buff. Its those mechanics that can really change the game.

I am really looking forward to it. 
After V2 I don’t feel able to play V1 again, but it is cool to bring some of the old maps back in a polished form.

And if there is recolour… change the illusion. Recolour Kruber’s halberd soldier illusion (for example), and not Doom on a Stick as always

Developer companies like FS are the reason people pirate games.
I can say without a shadow of a doubt that I’m more than done with the game and that’s before the game has even come out of beta and yes the game is in beta. Sure they released the game as a finished product but it’s obviously not finished. I have a somewhat bad taste in my mouth over this purchase and I’ll never buy anything from FS again. I’ll pirate their games all day everyday until I feel like their debt has been paid.
Can’t release a half baked buggy as hell product as game ready when it’s not. That my friends is a scam and scammers shouldn’t be supported.
I’ll buy your DLC if you give me back my money for the game! Seems fair to me as I’ve been a unwilling beta tester for the last 8 months.
