Trappers nets going through Walls and Wall corners

I never said they couldn’t be beaten, I never asked how to deal with them, I just gave some suggestions on how I feel they could be improved. Your response has nothing to do with mine. Why am I being quoted?

Because you said you want their AI fully rebuilt. And that you want them nerfed. And to only have access shooting you when there aren’t other entities blocking Line of Sight.

And as you can read, my response was a reaction to that. I said no, it doesn’t need change, it’s fine as it is, here is how you can deal with it.

People here always demand the game changes for them. What if it doesn’t need change?

Fact is the game does need changes, badly. But even assuming that it doesn’t, that still doesn’t apply to me, because I’m not demanding anything here.

Are they stealthy kidnappers? A quick web search suggests that they’re unique to darktide, so the whole “roll with the crowd and trap people while they’re distracted” thing might be the intent.

Maybe I didn’t make myself clear, everything in my post was what I felt were the problems and solutions. At the moment, literally every unit in the game except for ranged shooters and bombers just blends into a moving sea of meat and bum rushes you. It would be cooler if some threats actually were able to find flanks and angles that aren’t littered with bodies both dead and alive.

I was more curious about your reasoning rather than questioning your solution. I was curious about why you thought they were supposed to be stealthy kidnappers (“…that they should be”), since that seems to be what the rest of your post stems from.

“These are some ways they should be in order to be more interesting and engaging to play against” something along those lines. Imagine if, instead of idly standing in front of you like a deer in headlights while you’re trapped, they slowly dragged you away, during which you would have no aggro. If it makes it back to the spawn door with you, you die, and your teammates need to stop that. That would be much more interesting and interactive than just net, bonk, dead.

Yeah, this is literally the hook rat from V2.

I never even played vermintide enough to learn the enemies. But if that’s true, then it just seems like better design.

I have personally seen Trappers net through corners of walls. I have no idea if this is a “net is technically not a solid projectile” or a “there is no hit collision on certain parts of the map”.

I highly doubt they’ll look at it soon but we can at least put it on their radar.

They can also shoot through the back of Ogryns.

What the heck is wrong with Trapper in this patch anyway? I swear I hardly hear anything from them until they shoot their net. I never remember it being this bad.
