Trappers need to be nerfed

and it’s a downer on the whole learning process as well.

as hard as I am on some newbies maybe for not getting the basics right by auric maelstrom, these examples are prime “lose/lose” scenarios for no matter which side you dodge correctly the game gets you no matter what.

like them rigged jigsaw puzzles only more sadistic :face_with_tongue:

so I can really get the frustration of people quitting when the game does them dirty like that.

Because they have no sound at all sometimes, like recently on enclavuum barros, after event with waiting till bridge opens up and killing enemies on it, which resulted in absolutely clear bridge, there’s this cover to where for a second I gone to reload, I am going out and shes running with no sound, no words, no sound of the net and no reasons aka other enemies to block her sounds, she was just going at me in silent menace.

And it’s not just trapper, in havoc couple weeks ago, crusher overhead killed 3 of us from the bqck, no one heard him, only standing guy was standing because he was zealot.

I also dodged them while my back was turned to them or they were behind wall of crushers and I had space to dodge, but to do it, sound should work properly.

Oh and good luck dodging row of them when they stay behind each other in same line and spot, but with enough shot delay for 2d or 3rd to net you after dodging 1st and maybe 2d. Had a few cases when I was directly looking at trapper, I shoot and if weapon had cleave I saw double or triple kill of trappers. Prior to such shot there was no way I could say that there was several of them.

One thing about trappers I do notice and would like changed is their ability to fire an enormous net through the tiniest opening and sometimes outright THROUGH OBJECTS.

In one of the maps, I forget which, there’s a couple big crates/stacked boxes. I literally witnessed a trapper run behind the stack and fire a net through it that grabbed our Arbitrator who, sensibly had put his back to the enormous solid object.

I swiftly introduced her to a powered up thunder hammer with great enthusiasm (there is no such thing as overkill) and picked the Arby up, but we were both pretty well baffled by that behavior.

most of the time for me is when playing poxburster modifier auric maelstrom.

the literal only sound then is them tick tick ticketi and nothing else in a vacuum
