Too many low intensity missions

Why are Low Intensity modifiers so prevalent? Does anyone even like this stuff? Why play low intensity when you could just play a difficulty level lower? This modifier is no fun at all. It’s hard enough to get a damnation mission on a fun map as is. The harder, more fun modifiers are hardly ever available.

What’s the deal with this? Who makes this decision to spam low intensity on the mission board, but have the fun stuff only available once in a blue moon?

I dunno man, i just assume fatshark hates player retention 'cause im actively shopping for something else that actually lets me play it.

I played low intensity. And no low intensity is not playing the lower difficulty level. It is training to a new difficulty.

But, there’s seriously a need to get, at any time, 1 low intensity, 1 normal (or 2) and 1 high intensity

If you want to train for a new difficulty, you just play that difficulty. You can just play regular Damnation for practice. Maybe you’ll lose a few more games, but that’s fine. That’ll teach you more than playing Damnation with training wheels. Plus you’ll likely be playing with much better teammates, because people who like playing Damnation aren’t going to touch the Low Intensity missions.

You have the right to think that… however, as you seem to never did it… you cannot judge.
What I see is people that try to kick people that have not the skills to manage a difficulty. How many kick votes I have seen in such situations? too many
By the way, I do not need more training as I play damnation, and tbh, I think the gap is more important from malice to heresy than heresy to damnation. But, I would be really against removing this condition.

Low intensity is fine… Problem is that they (FS) did not make a simple rule…
Propose at any time on any levels low / normal and high intensity.

People probably want it to consistently farm on damnation since the low-int doesn’t change the amount of plastic and diamonds you can farm on the map, or ordo to get at brunts. As well as penances I guess.

Now if the RNG wasn’t so BRUTAL it wouldn’t have much justification for it’s existence. Which is why I think they should probably also have a “cata” like difficulty in Darktide where there’s no loot/progression incentive for it, just the challenge and difficulty. In VT2 if you wanted reds and such you played legend. If you wanted a challenge you went to cata.

I play this game in order to have fun, not to farm some meaningless fool’s gold. You know, I was of the opinion that the gameplay loop of Darktide was fun even if the crafting and all its related systems were flawed, but I guess the gameplay loop has now been found unimportant and wholy subservient to the crowd that wasted its evenings trying to get a +1 on their sword. You have managed to kill the one enjoyable thing about this game.

Sometimes I want to play normal or low-int damnation to relax. But I would blame the stupid mission generation system with its over reliance on RNG = design that they try to push on to every aspect of the game outside of missions.

Just a reminder that you’re not the sole arbiter on what is “fun”.

this is the key statement here. low intensity is the most boring trash to ever grace a videogame. i think i would prefer to go fishing in wow or something then to waste my time playing a low intensity walking simulator in darktide. maybe people learning will play it a few times and then move on but low intensity needs to be like a tutorial mission that goes away after you play it once and never shows up again. it is absolute trash and it is for trash players before they figure out how to take off the training wheels.

I do.

Cause material rewards are not worth time investment in anything but damnation, and even that barely scratches bottom of the barrel of passable rewards.

Yeah, people who wanted challenge played DWONS with twitch mode on. Not vanilla cata.

Low intensity is only good for introducing new players into the higher difficulties or book runs. Low intense would be fine if there was also a hi intensity with it as well but nah instead it’s double low intensity

Double Low Int and a Hab Drayco normal run to ensure the lowest possible spawns regardless of what you play. I call it the triumverate of boredom.
