To The Community: Congratulations, you got what you wanted

Explain why you agree? I can tell you why the nerfs are bad. Explain to me why you think the nerfs are good?

You can explain why nerfs are bad first and I can follow I guess, tbh I’m kinda tired of typing or demonstrate the same thing to 10 different people.

You can lower difficulty and have fun.
I cannot increase difficulty and have balance.

Of course I do. It’s more fun than the actual travesty of a game. It’s the only real content we’re getting until they’re done with the xbox version and take another 6 month break of silence.

Actually there are many ways to ā€œbalanceā€ the difficulty for yourself.

Starting from player’s count and ending with the weapon of choice.

So yes, you can use your own suggestion.

Huh?

You can’t control how other people play

Seriously? Didn’t know that, thanks!

Actually this is a team game and I cannot balance the game with just my choices because I am affected by the choices of other people.
For example, if someone is using a got-tier weapon to simply delete the horde I am engaged with while I am dodging, pushing, controlling etc. - it takes away fun from me (and the others in the team).

In short: I cannot control the balance of the game with my personal choices, but you CAN control the ā€œfunā€ you were having with an OP weapon by just playing in lower difficulty.

These anti-nerfing arguments all boil down to ā€œI want to have fun, and don’t care about others. Me, me, me, me - gimme light saber - I’m a Jediā€

Careful with that argument there…

You could say the same thing from the opposing perspective. eg

These pro-nerfing arguments all boil down to ā€œI want to have fun, and don’t care about others. Me, me, me, me - nerf their weapons so I can sword fight with the hordeā€

It’s not selfish of people to want to have fun but it is selfish if that fun comes at the expense of others. You can say that about both sides of this argument.

Fat shark should have found a solution that did not take a side instead they failed more than 50% of the player base. The people who either don’t have the time or inclination to get to heavily invested in the game and its lengthy rng based crafting system. People who are much more likely to give up and go to next game.

People are speculating that its the lazy option they have chosen, did you know that? They could have made a higher difficulty in the game in a number of ways for people like you who require more of a challenge but instead have taken the easier route. Less effort and time to just tweak numbers on powerful weapons… maybe that’s what happened here. Sounds fairly credible to me.

Not anymore you cant because the way they chose to nerf the power sword breaks the way it works and makes it considerable more clunky and less fun

I know it’s easier to try to make a point by being overly dramatic, but both weapons are still very strong, they just aren’t braindead anymore

If you think it’s ā€œoverā€ it only says a lot about you as a player

We can use the same arguments about other players affecting the fun.

But as was stated above, you can not control how other people play.

So if it bothers you so hard - play premades, and argue which weapons you should/shouldn’t use there, without showering other people with such problems.

No, because it’s not " so I can sword fight with the horde" - it’s ā€œso WE can have about the same impact and thus fun in the gameā€
There’s a difference.

So, on one hand you can keep hurting everyone who is not a SS using a PS, while on the other hand you can target only PS users.
What is the non-selfish move in this scenario?

I never said that the nerf is done well. This is FS we are talking about here. I am talking about this brain-dead argument about not nerfing anything.
PS is by far the first weapon in the game that needed a serious nerf.

Problem with crafting - not an argument against balancing the game.

First - this is not about having a challenge. I can do that by just using a borked weapon or whatever. It’s about balance in a team game.
Second - this is not the lazy option. This is the only option I’ve seen implemented in any multiplayer game - there are buffs and nerfs.
What game only implements buffs? I have never seen such a game, but maybe there is one. Please name an example.

You are right, that’s why I am relying on the game devs to do that for me with balancing patches - just like in any multiplayer game I’ve ever played PvP or PvE

But you’re not the only one playing it.

So they are not making it specifically for you, and other interests should be considered as well.

Yup. Buff Huntsman.

Strange title. I didn’t see any lock removals.

Your attempt to explain yourself and your selfish attitude is incorrect.

That would be a game on your terms, WE can have fun IF you play the game the way I want. Do you understand? Trying to explain to a selfish person why they are selfish is probably a waste of time. Now I’m not bothered by what you are talking about here but don’t try and argue that people upset by a nerf are selfish when your attitude towards them is in fact exactly the same.

I’m not going to break down the rest of your ā€œargumentsā€ Suffice to say your wrong. Good day sir.

Oh and btw I’m still using power sword and it still works they just made it clunky to satisfy people like you… Nobody wins here and the game suffers. The amount of less experiences vets ive seen trying to use a shovel today smh

But at least you got your balanced game am i right
