Don’t bother, metaslaves need Fatshark to nerf stuff for them because they can’t overcome their own compulsion to play the same weapons every run.
And that of course will continue.
Once they discover they are using BM weapons, Bolter, Agrippina braced, and Autopistol every round they will cry for nerfs once again.
The irony of them wanting nerfs "for challenge " while they themselves don’t want to play weak weapons “for challenge” because the metaslavery forces them to play the most optimal ones always eludes them.
And the slugs at Fatshark will bend the knee once again.
Arbitrarily, from top of my head more than 30% power is too much. Heck, even that debatable.
If you need to give a blessing more power to bring a weapon up, in balance you’re doing it wrong. It makes only combos with blessings like that worth your time, introducing more crapRNG into the game.
And yes, I know of Swift Slaying, I have 500 more or so hours in VT2 than in DT.

Flamer and Power Sword were unacceptably strong. Both weapons basically controlled if the rest of the team was going to have fun.
Nobody likes a nerf
and people looked for power cycler blessing for a long time in a pretty horrible rng crafting system.
Question is will they remove the movement penalties on power sword to make up for nerfing its damage potential.
Have not tested it yet only just got home its probably still usable just need to press the activation more often and that’s not too hard to do. If what’s in this post is all it is might not be so bad.
I mean power cycler is probably mandatory now for it will that blessing still be so rare?
Think instead of nerfs it would be better to give other weapons buffs bc a lot are weak or not fun to play.
FS wasnt / Isnt good at balancing V2 and often seemed to ignore feedback, I dont know why there is an expectation for Darktide to be different.
The weapons were op amd boring to use, they needed a nerf. Probably needs more fine tuning but its fine.
I agree that they were too strong, but the problem is in differentiation of other weapons.

Well, it is the one trait that is by far the easiest to use, but each and every other has its place, some more in a particular situation. Personally, I prefer the opportunist on most weapons that I use, but, of course, it depends on the weapon.
I don’t agree with that, personally I think they should’ve buffed the chain weapons instead of reducing power sword activation to the same level as a chain sword.
People been asking for chain weapons to be better for a long time now we have a power sword that is similar to something everyone thinks needs a buff.
Most of the people asking for the power sword to be nerfed came across as obnoxious in their attitude too and this looks like fat shark is appeasing those people with this nerf.

Chain weapons needed a buff, and Power cycler and normal activation should be changed from 1+2 to 2+1 but it was straight up justified. P Sword and Flamer were too strong. Also P sword is now in line with Illisi as well. Probably needs more fine tuning but they were a bit too strong imo.
lmao yes. FS missed the mark by a hair, now they just made Power Cycler basically mandatory ; with this in mind, new Power Sword with Cycler is almost the same as old Power Sword.
No its not you get three swings only, combined with the lack of push/dodge while your using it its going to make melee a bit sketchy. I need to go play some and test it though the psykanium doesn’t cut it. Going to do that now.
Maybe they just need to get rid of Power Cycler, it feels like that blessing will always be desirable. Non-energized atacks for PS also should be something playble like in case of Illisi. For charching balance it could just take a bit longer to activate. PS problem is that you just dont’ wanna use it without charge buff.

there’s a lot of salt in here, but i think we can all agree after playing the patched game that these changes ultimately make the game better.
I wholeheartedly disagree. What is better about having to now spam click the power button on each swing? What is better about power cycler now being mandatory for the power sword? What is better about reducing the flamer, an already niche weapon that filled a single specific niche?
Fatshark is listening to all of the noobs for their game design instead of consulting with the people playing the most difficult content. Then again the game is so completely lacking in actual content this doesn’t even matter. We have 5 maps but I know, lets nerf the power sword and add emotes.
I only play Damnation and I agree with the new change so there we go. Also I used pre-nerf Power Sword just much as everyone here so I’m clearly not a noob in your point of view.
I can agree that the game is lacking but it has nothing to do with balance change.
