can we try something vis-ve tencent monolpoly?
Yes, but in this case you do get to play the game and use the servers, don’t you? So isn’t it considered fulfilled then?
Well that’s the thing - no doubt they have consulted with the best lawyers money can buy before doing anything, so I’m really skeptical that any real action can be forced against FS. I guess bad publicity is the best thing to hope for. But that’s just my gut feeling ofc.
I mean, I’m all for holding FS accountable, but I wouldn’t hold my breath that a bureaucrat in one of those offices will grasp what an ingame crafting system even is.
A lot more was advertised than “play a game on a server”. There is no way to reduce their product that far even with a really good law team. I guarantee you that they would get caught in court just for releasing less weapons than advertised, but no organization will bother with a lawsuit over falsely advertising a bunch of weapons in a videogame.
Patch notes claiming fixes that didn’t make it into the game are also technically false advertisement, it just doesn’t really hit the bar either.
This is also the reason why CMs have been muzzled and they only give you retrospective info, they know they’re in deep.
This is the main issue, it’s not that they didn’t commit fraud (practically), it’s that videogames are barely regulated, think about the recent discussions about ingame gambling mechanics via lootboxes and microtransactions, some companies built untaxed casinos on them.
The way you describe it sounds like communism
It’s just a consumer protection agency funded by the government. Their job is to hold companies accountable for false advertising and the likes.
I guess we’ll see. Let’s just hope that enough people file complaints.
I guess we’ll see. They are a Swedish government organisation whose job is to investigate and enforce consumer protection laws–European countries generally have far more consumer protections than American ones.
I suspect they will do something if enough people file complaints. The only way to find out is to file a complaint. We shall see.
Of course we will. Join us.

It will make fatshark a better company, and will give more weight to, and amplify, the voices of the people in the company who want to make an awesome game.
If anyone is actually serious about this, you’ll likely have more success by looking at your own country’s consumer protection laws and you’re looking at a refund, at best.
Those who are looking to punish FS through these sorts of channels are going to end up disappointed.
Are you able to prove this with a link or ss? Would be great to have something more trustworthy than you saying that (no offense )
I mean all you have to do is send an email. It’s not a big time investment. The more people that do it, the more likely it is that they make fatshark live up to their promises.
I would much rather see the game get better than fatshark punished; Swedish regulators may be a good vehicle to achieve that.
Also, feel free to file a complaint in what ever country you live in.
Seems like peoples intent is more vindictive than restorative here. You can’t make them go back in time and have a better launch (for any of their titles) all you can do is hope they continue to improve the game (like they did with the other Tides.)
I wasn’t commenting on how hard it is to do, just that you’re more likely to see some sort of result by keeping it local.
I really don’t feel it’s likely that the Swedish authorities are going to make this a priority.
They have stronger consumer protections in Sweden than the United States.
Just need enough people to file a complaint.
The point of filing a complaint with the Swedish consumer agency is so that they will work to fulfill their obligations to us.
They definitely won’t get fined out of business, they probably won’t even be fined if they keep their promises in a timely manner.
Just think of this as a motivation tool.
Seems petty and childish.
Everything is childish to a child.
You didn’t do your homework before you purchased a product, own up to it.
